In the evening, they had an after party which was attended by most of the wedding guests, plus the members of the vampire clan. It went smoothly and everyone had a good time. Lucas and Delilah hadn't budgeted for a honeymoon when planning things, the idea of a week away from their loved ones just didn't appeal to them. They'd rather just jump straight into married life and be surrounded by people they knew cared for them than be in a place far away, surrounded by strangers. It was already gone midnight by the time they arrived home, going inside and to the kitchen, making a hot chocolate for each of them. After drinking theirs, Virgil and Roman went to bed, leaving the newly married couple alone downstairs. Neither of them wanted the night to end, and so decided to stay up all night watching movies together. It ended up being the perfect way to spend their first night as a married couple, though it was mundane, and they both fell asleep less than an hour into the movie. Delilah woke first that morning, at around eight. She'd been woken by a feeling of nausea which kept coming and going in waves until she was actually sick. Unbeknownst to Lucas, the previous morning before she'd started getting ready for the wedding, Delilah had taken a pregnancy test and had been shocked to see that it was positive. She hadn't found a good opportunity to tell her husband yet, but today was the day, though she was really nervous that he would react badly. They'd never talked about whether or not they wanted kids, maybe that was the last thing Lucas wanted. Or, even if he did want kids, what was the likelihood that he'd want a baby so soon? They were both still so young and they'd only just gotten married. Once she was feeling better, she went to the kitchen to make the four members of the household some breakfast, smiling when Lucas came in and hugged her from behind.

"I'm so lucky... you're beautiful." he whispered, kissing her cheek.

She didn't say anything, just blushed and continued cooking. After everybody was up and had eaten, Virgil and Roman went out grocery shopping. Now was Dee's chance.

"Lucas... there's something I have to tell you. I-It's really important."

"Oh no. You're not regretting the marriage already, are you?" he joked.

"No. Of course not. It's something else..."

Lucas looked at her with a gentle smile, waiting for her to continue.

"Well, I woke up feeling unwell yesterday. I figured it was just wedding jitters, but I threw up after my breakfast... I took a pregnancy test, and- well, it was positive. I'm pregnant."

"W-We're having a baby?" he asked, in shock, and Delilah nodded.

"We're having a baby."

His tone was more joyful the second time he said it, an excited grin coming onto his face as he hugged his wife tightly, lifting her and spinning her around. She giggled.

"Woah, I'm getting dizzy."

Lucas stopped and set her back onto her feet carefully, leaning down to kiss her. She wrapped her arms around his neck, kissing back happily.

"I was so worried you'd be disappointed. I didn't think you'd want a baby, at least not yet. You're really happy about this? You mean it?"

"Of course. I'm ecstatic, Dee. I asked you to marry me because I love you. And I want this baby with you because I want a family with you. I can't wait for us to have our own little family."

Delilah smiled tearfully, nodding in agreement with him and hugging him.

"I love you so much..." she whispered.

"I love you too, Dee. I love you and our baby more than anything. Think your parents will be okay with this?"

She thought about it for a moment before answering.

"It could go one of two ways. Either they freak out and then come around to the idea later, or they'll be on board with it right away. I think either way, things will turn out fine. I mean, they both love kids so once the baby arrives, they'll be so happy. I'm sure of that. Though, it's been 17 years now since they've had a baby in the house, so they'll probably not be too happy to have all the crying and screaming back after so long."

Lucas chuckled before he grabbed her hand and looked at her with a mildly serious expression.

"If that's the case, then why don't we get our own place? We could find a place nearby big enough for us and our child. What do you say?"

Delilah smiled, nodding.

"Let's do it."

Over the next few months, the young couple looked for places online until, five months into her pregnancy, they had found the perfect house and signed the lease for it. Delilah's parents helped them move in on the day they got the keys for it, some tears were shed in the process. They got finished late, so had takeout for dinner and then went to bed. They'd moved in on a Friday, and Lucas spent the weekend decorating the whole house with help, once again, from Roman and Virgil. Being heavily pregnant, Delilah was resting.

"All done."

The three of them had just finished decorating the final room.

"Looks great, guys." complimented Dee, stood in the doorway, a tub of ice cream in one hand and a spoon in the other.

Now the house was ready for the arrival of the baby. And so, four months later, a healthy baby boy was born. He was absolutely gorgeous, with bright blue eyes and such an infectious giggle.

"So, what are we going to name him, Dee?" Lucas asked quietly, not wanting to wake the baby.

"Rayn..." she whispered.

"Our beautiful boy..."
