As it got later and the sun started to set, Virgil grew worried. He walked into the kitchen where his husband stood, cooking their dinner.
"They should be back by now. What if they're in trouble? Something bad could've happened. We need to find them!"
Roman turned to him, gently holding his cheeks and kissing his forehead. That always calmed him down.
"Vee, I'm sure everything is okay. They're teenagers. It's perfectly normal for them to stay out late. I'm sure that any minute now, the two of them will walk through the front door, perfectly fine."
At that moment, the couple heard the front door open.
"See? What did I tell you? They're home now. Safe and-"
He stopped when he walked through to the living room with Virgil and, instead of seeing Delilah and Lucas, Patton was stood there with a solemn look on his face.
"Virge, I-I'm so sorry..."
"What do you have to be sorry about?" he asked, confused.
Without saying anything else, Patton handed something to his brother. Tears filled his eyes the moment he saw what it was. Lip gloss. One that he immediately recognised as Delilah's. She always carried it everywhere with her. He lifted his head, looking at Patton.
"I-I don't understand... How do you have this? This is Delilah's. Where did you get it?"
"I came across it. I was on a walk and I saw it on the ground. I recognised it as Dee's so I came straight here. Well, I did look around a bit first but there was no sign of her or Lucas."
Roman told the brothers that he'd be right back, then went back into the kitchen and called Aria, asking her to get to their place as soon as possible. He then re-joined Virgil and Patton in the living room.
"I'm here. What's the problem?" asked Aria when she arrived moments later.
Virgil walked up to her, hugging her tightly.
"Y-you have to help. Delilah, she-she's missing. Lucas too."
"Well, of course I'll do everything I can to help. How long have they been missing?"
None of them knew exactly. They could make a guess though.
"Uh, maybe a few hours... three or four at most."
Aria nodded and sat down.
"If you have something of hers, I can make sure she's okay. I may even be able to get a read on her location. Though, figuring out a precise location could take a while."
"I at least want to know she's still alive. That's all I need to know right now. So please... let me know she's okay."
She was handed the lip gloss and held onto it firmly, closing her eyes. After a few seconds, an image of Delilah appeared. It wasn't looking good.
