"When do I get to see the video?" I ask Aiden firmly. I'm tired of his games.

"Not before you go inside and dye your hair." Aiden sets through, an amused smile appearing on his face.

I growl in annoyance and push the door open. The smell of shampoo and hair products greets me. It's been a while I went to the hairdresser. I'm not the type of daring a brand new haircut. I just wear it plain with my bangs behind my ears. It's comfortable and I'm sure this haircut will be trendy every year. People love an easy-going haircut.

"Vanessa I've made an appointment for the two of us. This is uh my niece." Aiden spoke rapidly.

"Your niece. Yeah right, hun. Try to convince someone else." Vanessa laughs, shaking her head in disbelief. I look back and forth to the both of them, making eye-contact for a while until Aiden chuckles.

"Believe what you want." Aiden exclaimed playfully before taking a seat behind a mirror.

"So Grace," Vanessa turned her attention to me while looking at her computer screen. "Follow me, please." She continues. I swallow and follow her on foot, Aiden winking at me while I walk past him. He flashes me a sly smile before he turned his attention to the woman that greets him with a siscor in her hand.

Collecting my bearings for a moment, Vanessa watches me curiously when I sit down. I watch myself in the mirror for a slight second, but turn my gaze instantly to Vanessa.

"What did you have in mind, Grace?" She asks friendly, her white teeth absorbing all my attention.

"I'm not sure." I answer uneasily. "I can't decide. Can you help me?" I ask her softly.

"Of course, hun." She continues to work her hands through my hair while looking at me in the mirror.

"You have beautiful hair, but it's a little plain don't you think?" She questions me carefully.

I nod, pressing my lips together knowingly.

"I want to spice it up a little more, nothing drastic. Choppy lob with long layered caramel colored locks. What do you think about that?" She questions me with a bright smile. Vanessa is like the fairy old godmother and I'm Cinderella, who she'll turn into a beautiful princess.

"Okay," I answer her, putting all my trust in her hands.

"It will be perfect, Grace. I'll make you shine again." She says, while walking away from me with swaying hips. I'm jealous of her. She can seduce every man in this room with her curvy body and wavy, black curls.

I turn my head and see Vanessa talking to Aiden, her hand on his shoulder. A nagging feeling hits me like an earthquake. Why does every woman he gets close to want to touch him? And oh, he's not complaining about all the womanly attention he gets. Suddenly Vanessa and Aiden turn their gaze toward me, and in a swift motion I pretend to be looking outside.

I breathe in and out as slowly as I can when I notice Vanessa walking toward me with a bunch of accuipment. "He's so persistent, that man of yours." Vanessa spoke,to me while pulling a towel over my shoulders.

"Oh, you're mistaken... He's not my ... We're not .." I cracked uncontrollably.

"Thogeter?" She fulfills my sentence. Vanessa's eyes me curiously.

"We are just friends." I say determined.

"That's exactly what he said. Luckily, you're friends, right? But call me when it's finally happening." Vanessa spoke like she knows what's happening between us and what's about to come.

"I can't follow you." I say, nervously scratching my arm.

"When you have unfrozen his heart. Aiden is special, but he doesn't let anyone get too close. I'm not sure what his story is, but that man has endured a lot for sure." She explained me while brushing my hair. "But that doesn't matter now. This is the first time he brought someone with him. I've never seen him with a woman before, so you must be special to him." Vanessa explains further while keeping herself busy with my hair.
