I wake up, instantly closing my eyes because of the light shining on my face. Aiden pulls me to his chest, his chin resting on my shoulder. "Good morning," Aiden says sleepy, his hot breath tickling the skin of my neck.

"Good morning," I respond with a soft, lazy voice. The images of yesterday night made me flush again. I think we've been kissing for an hour in his hallway. He kept his hands to himself, only my face and back got more of his attention. I could only be grateful with a man that knows and does understand what I've been through. He's so patient with me, making me feel like I'm from glass and could break any minute. I felt precious because of his sweet words.

He has put me on a pedestal, making me forget my entire past with just one kiss, one eye contact. I feel humble because he saved me and he's the one who brought me back to life. I was living and not living in a way I can't even describe. It feels like I want to spend every minute of my day with him. The aching feeling I have to wait for a few hours before seeing him truly hurts and makes me unhappy.

I always thought these cheezy movies were over the top with their dramatic goodbyes, but now I'm not sure what to think of it.

Aiden kisses my shoulder softly, my breathing already reacting to his touch. "You smell so good," Aiden says in a sleepy, yet seductive way. I giggle at the tingling feeling and turn to face him. Even with his hair in a mess, he's so perfectly handsome.

"Are you hungry?" Aiden asks sweetly before planting a kiss on my lips.

"Hmm, maybe a little," I answer truthfully before I receive a small grin on Aiden's face.

Suddenly my phone starts ringing and the noise startled me. I pick it up from the nightstand and hold my breath when I see my mother's name on the screen. Fuck, what do I say now? Aiden looks at me with an amused expression on his face.

"You look like you've been caught." He chuckles.

"Cause I am," I answer uneasy, and pick up the phone.

"Hello, mom," I say quickly with a voice out of breath.

"Hey, haven't seen you coming home last night? Where are you?" She asks curiously with a slight tremble in her voice when she's concerned about me. I will never forget the way she spoke to me all those years when she thought she could lose me by my depression.

"I texted you, mom," I reply to her truthfully, slightly feeling guilty about leaving some details about whom I stayed for the night. She thought I was with Nathalie.

"Grace, Nathalie is at the bakery. I'm here because I presumed you were working and wanted to surprise you. Obviously, you're not telling me the truth so I hope you'll tell me soon?" Mom explains to me in a serious tone.

I swallow and sigh. "I'll be at Vinnie's in an hour," I say apologetically before ending the call.

"I'm going to meet my mom... I have to tell her about us.." I say uneasy, not knowing how he will respond to it.

"Of course, no problem." He sweetly assures me by kissing the corner of my lip.

"I just need to tell her the truth about me seeing someone. She needs to know I trust you." I go deeper into the subject.

"It's cool, Grace. Say what you want to say, okay, except for uh..." His body already reacting to his choice of words.

"Off course, I will not tell them everything."

"I think it's best too," Aiden chuckles nervously.

"Don't worry, I won't tell them," I assure him before crawling out of bed.

"Grace?" Aiden's voice made me turn to face him. Quickly pulling the folds of his shirt down over my ass. "I've made up my mind about work."

I scrunch my eyebrows and look at him with expectation.

"I'm going to quit. I'm thinking about opening my own garage." He says out of the blue.

I knew he loved cars, but I didn't think he would want his garage.

"Really?" I say puzzled. A sense of relief hit me.

"Yeah, I'm sure." He says with confidence while he sits up from the bed, the sheets dropping off of his body, showing his muscly belly.

My cheeks flush instantly and it doesn't help when he walks over to me, cupping my face with his strong hands.

"I want a future with you." The words came out of his mouth with so much ease and honesty it made me weak instantly. Before I even got the chance to respond to his declaration, he already kissed me fiercely, the force almost knocking me down. I'm glad I told mom, I would be there in an hour because I'm sure this kiss will not end soon.

"Okay, sweetheart. I'm listening." Mom says softly while I nervously look at the menu for something to eat. I swallow hard and bite my nail nervously.

"Well, I uh need to tell you something," I start, an impatient mother gazing at me with big eyes.

"I'm aware of that." She replied with a grin.

I giggle uneasy and scratch my neck.

"I've never seen you like this, Grace." Mom chuckles at my abnormal behavior.

"I know," sighing and taking a big breath before dropping the bomm. "Okay, I'll tell you but promise you will not freak out?" I ask her persistend.

She nods shortly, hanging on every word I say.

"I'm dating someone," I spit the words out, feeling relieved almost instantly.

"What!?" Mom yells and I could crawl under my seat in shame because of her loud reaction.

"Mom!" I whine.

"When, how and who?" She bursted uncontrollable.

"Okay, I uh have met him at the bakery." I begin, knowing I just told her a lie for her own good. If she knew how we've met she would flip, especially because of my plans that night.

"His name is Aiden Cole and he's so sweet, mom." I admit genuinely, feeling my cheeks flush when talking about him.

"I'm so happy for you," Mom exclaimed with teary eyes. "I never thought you would find someone so quick...But I'm so thrilled for you. You deserve to be happy, sweetheart." She explains with so much love, holding onto my hand with force.

"Thanks, mom. I'm really happy." I admit with a broad smile.

"When will I meet him?" Mom exclaimed, winking at me in a playful mood.

"God, mom." I giggle at her excitement. I'm sure this will be a long morning. She definitely wants to pull every detail about him out of my system. Despite her enthusiasm I could only laugh at her behaviour, because I know this is huge news for her as well.
