"I can't believe she has led me go because I was two hours late this morning," I mutter enthusiastically. It's not like I'm mad I could leave quite early, but the whole event seemed so surreal. She never saw me with a man and she has never called me out of bed because I was never the type to be late. I'm too much of a control freak to let time take control over me. Every night before I go to bed I write in my journal because I want to clarify and analyze my thoughts from that day that's also the control freak in me.
Aiden chuckles at my declaration. "I presume you were never late for work?" His smile turned into a sexy grin.
"Of course, I was never late. You know I'm an angel." I smirk at him proudly.
"And I'm the opposite of you," Aiden says in a softer tone, knowing what he's referring to. Despite his sweet side, we both know he has another side. That side I wish I will never see again. In normal situations you would say to your boyfriend he has to do whatever makes him happy and even support him, but how will I suppose to support him with something I don't want to be a part of?
"We're here." His voice brought me out of my slumbering thoughts. I yank my head to the window, hoping my parents are still at work. If they are home I will come clean and tell them the truth, however, if they aren't I will be grateful for the stalling time and tell them at my pace. I know they will be happy for me and they would be proud of me.
I have conquered so much and it's all because of this man. If he hadn't stopped me in the alley I wouldn't be here. "I'll be right back," I tell him with a small smile before heading to the front door. I close it behind me, seeing an empty house made me relax instantly. I exhale loudly and quickly make my way upstairs to get changed. Fuck, I wish I could shower, but it wouldn't be fair to let him wait for that long.
"Hey, what are you doing?" My sister's voice startled me.
"Barbie," I whine, holding my hand on my chest in shock.
"Sorry, what are you doing?" She asks curiously.
"I'm about to get changed," I answer her truthfully. "You?" I ask her quickly.
"Same," she answers with a big smile.
My eyes travel to my window, Barbie following my gaze. "Is it that guy?" She runs to the other side of my room. I've never seen my sister run that fast.
"Yes, we're having dinner at his place and I don't even know what to wear." I let myself fall on the bed, sighing dramatically.
"What, you're going to change and not shower first? No, no, no. That's not going to happen. You go to the shower now." She pulls me out of the bed, receiving a grumble from me.
"No, I told him I would be there in a minute," I whine.
"I'll invite him in, go on, and take a nice shower." She pushes me into the bathroom.
"But,.." I stammer unwillingly, receiving a furious glare from my sister as she wants to close the door.
"Nevermind," I say quickly before she leaves me alone.
I sigh and undress, hoping my sister won't burden him with questions.
After fifteen minutes, I was fully dressed, my hair was done in a neat bun. I focus on the length of the black dress, I was wearing and instantly regretted my decision. I felt more confident than ever, but maybe this was a too large step.
I freak out when I feel someone walking in my room. "Wow, you look gorgeous." My sister's smugface enlighting the room.
"It's too much for tonight," I say rapidly.
"No, it's not. You look elegant, Grace." She whispers while stroking my arm. "He's really serious about you. I think he's in love with you." Barbie giggles.
"Shhh, before he hears you." I command her silently.
She giggles and wriggles her brows playfully.
"And I might warned him not to hurt you or else .."
"What the hell, Barb!" I turn myself to face her again.
"Despite his friendly demeanor, he needs to be warned though." She holds her arms in defence, sending me a sly smile.
"You're not sorry at all." I shake my head in disbelief before walking down the stairs.
I take a last bite of this crazy, yet super deliscious dish. "I need to know what ingredients you've put in that sauce." I gushed.
"Maybe some day I'll tell you." Aiden joked taking a large sip of his beer.
I stand up and start tidying up his beautiful kitchen, Aiden following my gesture. "You know I can get used to this." Aiden says, leaving me speechless for a moment.
I turn to face him, his eyes lingering on me with dominance and sweetness at the same time. "You look gorgeous tonight." He says, setting his plate back on the counter before walking toward me.
This man has me wrapped up around his finger and he likes it. I could only endure the torture of his hot presence and wait what he wants from me, because I'm at a point I would give him everything. I've thought about it long and hard and I can't hide it anymore. I'm in love with him.
