I'm staring at Aiden's perfectly shaped eyes, a smirk playing on his face. "And why do I need to work on my disguise?" I ask him boldly, with my arms crossed.

"So they won't recognize you?" Aiden chuckles at my shocked expression. "I don't ask you to dress differently. Just a new haircut, or maybe a different color? He says jokingly.

"And you? They have seen you as well?" I retorted in offense.

"Of course. Did you think this is my color?" He asks seriously. I eye him curiously. I think back at the picture of him I had found a few days ago. Damn, I don't know what color of hair he had.

"Can you bend your head a little?" I ask him with a massive grin on my face. Aiden chuckles at my request. He just obeyed without discussing the matter first. I inspect his hair with precision. Damn, it's died very well. I can't see which color he has of his own.

"Have you seen enough?" He asked, softly straightening himself, facing me with a genuine smile on his face.

"Yeah, but you died it pretty well," I admit.

"I didn't do it myself, but thanks for the compliment." He says before peeking through the glass of this abandoned house across from Anthony's workplace.

"Hey, I still don't know what your color of hair is?" I whined for an answer.

"You'll see soon." He answered without looking at me. "I've made an appointment for tomorrow, for you and me at the hairdresser," Aiden informs me in a serious tone.

"What? Without discussing it first?" I blurted.

"Of course. You agreed with my terms of this agreement." He admits calmly, not even disturbed by my countless outbursts.

"Whatever." I shrug, gazing around the room and pushing the garbage away from my spot.

"Be careful. There could be needles within the heap of garbage." Aiden says, eyeing me curiously, but not giving more hints at the expression he's showing.

"I'm sorry. I forgot." I say softly before glancing at my watch for the tenth time we were here at the lookout. It felt like I was doing some undercover work.

"If you need to go, I'll keep an eye here." He says, knowing I need to work tonight at the bakery.

"I'm sorry I have to go," I admit genuinely.

"It's no problem, Grace. I'll contact you if I caught him on video." Aiden explains to me calmly. Aiden knows what he's doing, so there's no doubt he'll succeed. What he got to know about the three of them is mind-blowing. He even knew which was their favorite dish. So he doesn't need to convince me he's the best choice for hiring him. It will cost me a bit, but it will be all worth it.

"Okay and thanks. For everything." I thanked him sweetly before turning on my heel at the broken front door.

"Don't forget our appointment tomorrow morning," Aiden shouts when I'm standing in the door opening.

"Yeah, yeah." I wave him off in frustration. Now I need to think about my new haircut as well.

"What are you dreaming about?" Nathalie whispers playfully into my ear as it was already crowded in the bakery.

"Nothing. I was looking at the freshness of the muffins. You know with the warm temperatures." I tried to convince her as quickly as possible. Nathalie will start thinking otherwise, and she would throw all of her nonsense ideas to my head until I confess out of misery.

"Good job, Grace." She astonishes me with her answer. Glad she bought it. I'm running from the back to the front. It seems ages people find their way back outside. I'm nervous and frustrated at the same time. I can't take my mind off of the mission. Aiden never called, so I'm worried he didn't have actual evidence to take down Anthony. Maybe I should have stayed. More eyes at the scene are always better, I guess.

Finally, it was time to lock the bakery. Nathalie was already home as Belinda. Exhausted, I make my way to the back to collect my purse. As I was ready to lock everything up, the front door opens and closes. I peek over the counter to find Aiden with a broad smile on his face.

"Hey, I was worried." I gushed.

"You were worried about me?" He questions me with an amused expression on his face.

"No. About the evidence. Did you have footage?" I ask him impatiently. Anthony was our easiest target. So if we can grab his ass, I'm confident we can take them all down.

"Of course, I have the evidence. Not long when you left some guy arrived with a fancy motorcycle. I have everything on tape." Aiden explains to me like he has given such valuable information all the time.

"That's great. But why did you wait to tell me? I have been dying to know if it worked!" I whine, irritated.

"I was busy." He says calmly.

I narrow my eyes at him, seeing a grin appearing on his face. "Busy with our plan or?" I ask him boldly, with my arms crossed.

"Of course. Well, she's part of our second plan." Aiden smirks proudly like he had won the lottery.

"She?" I exclaim with my hands on my hips. I don't even know how to stand across from this man. I need to look bold, fierce and someone you can't mess with. He needs to know he can't just play with other people's feelings.

"Mathew his ex. The one he cheated. She was at the gym with some other friends of hers." He explained while seating himself on the nearest chair.

"And now you're exhausted, right?" I roll with my eyes. I'm working with a player, for God's sake.

"Yeah, pretty much." He answers unapologetically.

I sigh and rub my face in frustration. "Aiden, I don't want you to play with other peoples' feelings. She's a victim as well." I say in a bad mood.

"Who says I'm playing with her? Maybe I have a genuine interest in her?" He shoots me back with no emotion, his eyes glued to mine.

"Whatever, Aiden. As long as it doesn't jeopardize our plan." I shrug coldly.

"Are you always this dramatic?" Aiden blurted in amusement.

"No...." I say frustrated while walking to the door with Aiden right behind me.

"You definitely need to work on your walk as well," Aiden says out of the blue, making me stop in front of the door.

"Excuse me?!" I whisper-yell. I don't have the strength to shout in his face. Not today.

"We will need to work on your attitude as well. You need to leave all the drama behind with our next target." He spoke calmly, not even interested in my feelings. He's joking, right? How can I change my character within a week? He's delusional. I can be attractive, not only from the outside. I just need to find that goddes before next week.

"Don't you worry, Aiden? I can handle myself quite well!" I answer him boldly, in a louder tone. I won't show weakness. Not against him. Not against anyone. Not anymore...

I can hear his laughter when he walked away from me.
