I wake up with a smile already creeping up my cheeks. I couldn't be more content than I am at the moment. Yesterday was perfect. The kiss was amazing. Aiden is amazing. He was so gentle and caring, and he only touched my back and face with his hands, always keeping a respectful distance.
I wasn't sure if I had to be happy or to be disappointed he never explored more of my body, but I'm sure it's because he wants to be patient and respectful with me. He gives me the control and at one point I wasn't sure I want to be the one permitting him to do more things with me. At some point, I don't know if I'm going to be brave enough to just ask him more?
A sudden beeping sound made me alert again. I'm scanning my room to look for my phone when my eye caught the lights coming out of my window. "Fuck," I mutter while jumping out of my bed. "Fuck, fuck," I scoff to myself while rummaging through the clothing I had left in a pile on the floor.
"Fuck," I mutter again, seeing Belinda's texts. I'm so late for work, almost two hours late and it's not something I'm used to.
I quickly dial my aunts' number, setting it on loudspeaker while changing my underwear and bra. "Grace are you okay?" Belinda's concerned voice made me wince in guilt.
"I'm so sorry, aunt. I forgot to set my alarm. I'm changing and be there in half an hour." I say rapidly.
"It's okay, dear. You're acting more and more like a normal person, good girl. See you soon." And with that being said she hung up the phone, leaving me frowning at my phone.
Is she for real? Every boss would have been pissed off, but she just brushed it off like it's the most normal thing to do... Well, I think it's only best to have a phone call like this than to have an angry conversation with my aunt.
Aunt Belinda kept smiling the entire day, even when a customer wasn't satisfied with the service she kept a lightful mood, making me chuckle now and then. Her behavior was so misplaced a few customers had asked me if she was okay... Yeah, that's how crazy she was behaving herself.
I'm cleaning the table against the window, when my eyes spot Aiden's car, parking before our bakery. I would be lying if I kept an eye on the road, hoping to see him as soon as possible. Eight hours seemed ages now I couldn't see him.
A blush awkwardly spreads my cheeks because I was still standing between customers with a red face with my aunt's hawk eyes burning on the back of my head. Of course, she did notice some changes about me. She knows me too well.
The door opens to reveal Aiden as masculine and sexy as always. Even the women at the table beside me stopped talking to admire the sight before them. Aiden notices me standing between the tables, a playful grin spreading his face.
I swallow hard and step toward him, Aiden doing the same. "Hi," I welcome him awkwardly.
"Hi, beautiful." He whispered before leaning toward me, making me aware everyone was gawking at us, also my biggest stalker, auntie, who was smirking behind the counter.
Aiden draws closer, but just in time before our noses would touch he kisses my cheek very softly. "We've got an audience." He chuckles in my ear.
I exhale loudly, my nerves letting loose of all intensity. I nod softly and could punch myself for reacting this way with him. Will I ever act normal in his presence? "Does your aunt know about us?" Aiden whispers and I frown at his question.
"Aiden, what a lovely surprise seeing you here." Belinda's voice echoes from afar. Fuck, she knows something's up between us. That's why he asked about her.
"Hi, Belinda. You know I love your coffee and chocolate muffins." Aiden answers friendly.
"I'm wondering it's only the coffee and muffins that brings you here," Belinda says in a serious tone, yet her smirk gives the words a softer tone.
"Uhu aunt, I uhu, we uhu.." and I look at Aiden for support who could only grin widely at my declaration. I'm sure he's waiting for what I have to say about us, what we are.
Aiden takes my hand in his, showing the entire room I'm his, including my aunt. I think the gesture says enough about what's going on between us.
"No?" She squeals cheerfully. "Is it finally happening?!" She yells through the entire bakery, making me blush about all the fuss she's creating.
"Aunt," I chuckle awkwardly.
"I'm sorry, dear. I'm just so happy for you." She spoke sincerely, her eyes becoming watery.
"Do your parents know about him?" She asks curiously, the question almost giving me a small heart attack.
"No, but promise me you'll let me tell them when the time is right?" I ramble nervously. I was so caught up in the moment I forgot my family don't even know I'm dating someone.
"Of course, my dear." She smiles warmly. "Take good care of her, Aiden." She directs her attention toward the man in front of me.
"I will, ma'am," Aiden answers in a serious tone, giving me even more goosebumps.
"Okay lovebirds," Aunt Belinda says softly, her thoughts somewhere else. "Grace, your shift is over." She says out of the blue.
"But aunt I have another two h..." I tell her, but she cuts me off.
"No, I'm your boss and I say your shift is over." She spoke determinedly.
"Aunt, next week I won't be here..." I remind her I have to work at my fathers' office.
"I know dear, Nathalie and I will arrange everything here. You don't need to worry about anything. Enjoy your weekend off and good luck next week. I'm sure you'll handle your father's office with intelligence and bravery." She spoke determinedly.
"Thanks, aunt!" I thanked her for her sweet words before leaving them alone and heading off to the back of the bakery where my jacket and purse were laying. I quickly text my mother I'm having dinner with a friend, hoping she'll give me some time to introduce Aiden to my family. I don't even know if he wants to get to know my entire family as I know he's not the regular family type.
He despised his family in England and we haven't spoken about this important subject. There comes a time I'm less home and more at his place like regular couples do. However, I can say we are nothing like most regular couples.
I guess time will tell...
