Sora POV

The school bell rings, and everyone packs their bags. Levi asked me if he wanted to go to the shop again, but I told him I couldn't go since I would hang out with Jaxx for the day. He gives me a look and waved me off.

I turned around to face Jaxx, but the twins were behind me.

"Look nerd, you are going to do our part of the project for us." Zach started, looking down at me.

"What the heck? No, I already have to do my work for my project."

"You're going to do our project for us. Understood?" Drake said, stepping in.

"Guys, what are you doing?" Jaxx appeared behind me with an annoyed look on his face.

"We are trying to get this nerd over here to do our project for us."

"Just get Alex or Jade to do it for you," Jaxx said, which honestly scared me. Jaxx, defending me? Not something you see every day.

"Fine, let's go Drake."

Zach and Drake leave the room and I turn to face Jaxx. "Um, thanks for that. I can defend for myself you know."

"Yeah, sure you could. Let's just go before they show up." We left the classroom and made it to the school field. We were really close to leaving the school campus, but a group of girls starting coming over towards us.

"Hey Jaxx~," one girl said. "What are you doing leaving school so early?"

"I'm going to work on my school project. What do you girls want?" I just walked off to the side, waiting for Jaxx to finish talking to those girls.

"Well," another girl said. "We were wondering if you wanted to come to eat somewhere with us. The project isn't due till next week anyway."

"No thanks. Sora wants to get this project over with-"

"Why are you hanging out with him. We are so much more entertaining."

"Yeah, you probably are. But I rather hang out with him so goodbye." Jaxx walks away leaving the girls in shock. They probably wouldn't imagine the school's heartbreaker hanging out with the school's nerd. "Let's go," he said walking towards me. I look behind us and the girls looked at me with annoyed and still shocked looks. I generally ignored them and continued walking with Jaxx.

"So, I'm more interesting than those girls over there?"

"Don't push it."

-

We walked for about fifteen minutes until we got to his place. The apartment building wasn't so bad. I mean it's pretty fancy on the outside. Just a fancy-looking building.

We walk through the entrance walkway area and we went to the front entrance. The inside was actually really nice. We take the elevator to his floor and walk to his room. It was even one of those fancy doors with the keycard instead of a key.

The inside was absolutely beautiful. When you walk in you see the kitchen, which was really fancy with the black and white style with the marble countertops. Then you go to the living room area, with a comfortable long couch with a huge flat screen tv. There was an medium coffee table too, with some flowers on it. It even had a huge chandelier over the top of everything.

"Wow, this place is so nice!" I said looking at the entire room. "It's so fancy!"

"I mean I guess."

"What are you talking about? I would love to live here!"

"Stop fangirling over my apartment and let's just get this over with. Do you want anything to eat?"

"What do you have?"

"Um, I have some like instant ramen and candy. I can make something for you."

"No it's fine, can I have just had some ramen?"

"Sure, I'll get everything ready and you just get comfortable. Don't get anything dirty though."

Jaxx just started making the instant ramen while I got settled down at the coffee table. I sit down on the couch and make myself comfortable as Jaxx said. I get the papers out of my bag and put them out onto the table. When setting the papers down, I notice a few photos beside the flowers. I don't want to be nosey but I was interested in what he has.

The first one was a photo of Jaxx with the twins. It looks like this photo was taken at homecoming. They all looked so fancy with their suits. They also looked, really intimidating. Barely showing any expression. It almost looked like they didn't even wanna be there.

The second one was a square polaroid photo, with him and Light, the purple dude from our class. They were at the skate park and they obviously looked like they were having a great time. He looked generally happy, especially compared to the last photo.

The third photo was of him, riding a dirtbike. Jaxx didn't seem like the person to ever ride a dirtbike, so this photo was interesting. It was one of those cool shots too. He was in the air coming off the ramp and he was standing on his bike. Really nice picture of Jaxx.

The fourth and final photo was about Jaxx and what seemed to be his family. It was a really young photo of him dressed up in a demon outfit. Probably around Halloween time. His parents looked very, annoyed? I couldn't tell. It was obvious that they didn't want to be there.

"Give me that," he snatched the photos out of my hands. "Has your parents ever told you to mind your own business?"

"Sorry sorry, the photos just seemed nice. I never knew you were friends with Light."

"Uh-huh, and why do you care?"

"Nevermind them. Let's just work on this project." We work on the project for a couple of hours and we barely got anything done. We had no idea what to do and Jaxx was on his phone the majority of the time. All we did was take down basic notes on the topic that probably isn't going to help us at all.

"Look, its getting late and I have to get going." I look at the time and start packing my bags.

"Huh. You sure you want to go? You can stay, you know."

"I rather not. Now I need to go home."

"Uh-huh. Well, might as well go then. Go now."

"Yeah yeah I'm going, going. God calm down." He rushes me out the door and closes the door on me. 'So annoying,' I thought to myself and left his apartment building.
