An eight year old girl is seen riding her horse through the vast fields of district 10, her long blonde hair whipping in the wind and her golden skin glistening in the sun rays. At first glance one would not assume that her parents had been killed in those very fields mere hours before or that she was an orphan with no living family. The young girl had no tears down her soft cheeks nor did she have a frown on her pouty lips, just a smile and a shimmer in her eyes.
This was just the beginning of her new life, of her survival.
