Mother's emotions, like a spiritual Tsunami, hit me. A flood of shame at having kept the secret for so long. Everyone grunts, moaning from the force of its weight. Everyone, that is; Except me knowing why she responds. "As you wish. My Prime Alpha." Using my title for the first time.

With a single whine, Crimson lowers his head. His gaze was shifting from me. He knows I know and acknowledges it. "The time has at last arrived, mate. Show them why I have and will forever remain yours. Tell them what they do not know."

My eyes illuminate. Astral thunder vibrates bellowing force, seizes the astral plane. With a ferocious luminescence, burning orbs, steely reconnect with my family, who has gone to stand beside my elders. All except Randall, my Beta, MY BROTHER. His savage wulf guardian stance in front of me. Chocolate eyes and menacing snarl clicking teeth. Paling everyone beneath his venomous wulf speak, "Step to me. If you are so stupid". He will kill. Even if it means those he will kill would be family. A steely set of platinum eyes shifts, meeting my grandfather's; Mine.

"You have known from the beginning, didn't you? I realized only recently, it was never a dark essence. It was Necromio. He has been with me since before we met. It is a piece of his spirit that resides within me and at this moment. I know why."

Then, my eyes shift. "Isn't that right.... Necromio? The first-born son of the Goddess Oya. You who abandoned your celestial human-like form, taking wulf form because you fell in love. Isn't that right, Crim?" Stunned, all vision awed towards Crimson, who remains in his posture, head down, eyes closed, and absorbing each word. "Yes. Mate. It is I." No one could believe my revelation as Crimson spoke it.

"It was long ago. I was young, immature, vain, and a philanderer. I cared for nothing, catering to my needs without regard for others. Seeing vanity that came from battle, I developed an obsession with the blood lust of war. I would take on invaders, pillagers, murders. All for the desire to protect. Secretly. I sought to feel the heat of their blood. My prowess as a warrior grew, as did my fame. However, from my mother's words, "Necromio. A true warrior will sacrifice himself to protect life. Not take it." I became conflicted, and later, it changed me. No longer was my desire to fight for adrenaline and fame. Instead, I sought to become that warrior. But secretly, just as she had before me. I set on a path for validation. Intent on becoming the warrior she spoke of.

During my journeys, I would pass the garden of Paradise, where I often came across a lone speckled Black and white wulf. A legendary killer with low tolerance towards others. However, towards only one, this killer was the opposite. To this one being, the death wulf was gentle behaving as a doting sire.

A sickly child to whom the wulf was ferociously protective. They often played together in Olofi 's paradise garden. Intrigued, I began hiding within the Jasmine bushes that grew on the garden's exterior. Observing the loving nature by which the godling's wulf would gently paw, engaging the child in play. At other times, the child rested within the massive forelegs of his protector, being lavished beneath his protector's tongue as he spoke to the wulf.

Hidden, I would sit for hours admiring the strength of the sickly child & the doting love of his guardian. But it was the child who first softened my heart. Not his dedicated protector. His name, I learned, was ANO. One of two children born to Iku, the lady of death. Abebe was the oldest and Ano her youngest. Iku was an admirer who regularly sought my favor. Yet. Her advances were for naught. I would never consort with a deity so vile. Yet, Iku persisted.

I learned of Ano's guardian, Sabalius. Of how Sabalius himself was a respected legend amongst us. Aware of who Sabalius was;

it was no surprise Sabalius would know my presence before I arrived. Reputed for his unparalleled sense of smell, tracking ability, and terrifying, ruthless warrior skills. For a time, Sabalius would shelter Ano, standing over him defensively. Prepared to give his life defending little Ano. By taking mine.
