'You will have to go into closed rehabilitation for four months.' The nurse spoke, standing at the end of the hospital bed with a clip board in hand. 'Four months!' Mason called, standing up putting both of his hands behind his head in despair, 'This is her first and final time doing this, she can't go for that long!' He challenged. 'Mr Mount, we are doing everything we can to ensure your partner has the best recovery, it will take time.' The nurse spoke calmly. 'Mason, it's fine. We can do this.' Jade said, nodding her head to reassure the stressed boy beside her. 'So what do you mean by closed?' The girl asked, holding Mason's hand. 'Well, depending on how you cope in there, you will not be allowed any visitors for the first two months, then if you're coping well you'll be able to be released early with some visits.' The nurse replied with a soft smile. The pair sighed together as the nurse left them to speak over things.

'How can I just disappear for four months Mase? You're going to forget who I am.' Jade said whilst running her fingers through Mason's brown hair. 'As if I would, and you're not staying in that long, I'll make sure of it.' He said. 'I think the universe just hates us at this point, every time we get closer something happens to come along and ruin us.' The girl sighed. 'I know, I know. But we'll get through this I promise you. Nothing like this will ever happen again.' Replied the boy cupping her face in his hand.

Jade had been taken to rehab nearly a month ago now, Mason had missed three weeks of football due to 'family issues', the boy couldn't face his favourite sport without the girl he loved being able to watch. Little did he know every time she was able to watch Westham or Chelsea from her centre she would, and it worried her that Mason was never on the TV.

One night Mason received a phone call from a random number, he ignored it incase it was a scam but it kept ringing back, continuously. Eventually he picked up. 'Hello.' He said sternly across the line. 'Hi Mase, it's-'
'Jade?' The boy said, his face instantly lightening up. 'How are you? How are you allowed to phone me?' He questioned eagerly. 'They're letting me go soon Mase, I can finally see you again.' She said, her smile thickening its own accent through the phone. 'That's amazing babe, I'm so excited to see you.' He replied smiling back at her although she couldn't see. 'How's football been?' The girl questioned him, already knowing an answer. 'Erm, yeah great, scored a couple of goals since you've been gone haha.' Said Mason, nervously. 'You're such a liar' the girl joked. 'I know you haven't been playing since I've been gone.' She continued. 'Wait, you've been watching?' The midfielder questioned. 'Yeah, every chance I've gotten to watch you or Dec I've tried to watch it. You worried me when you were never there.' She said. 'Oh for fucks sake, i would've played if I'd have know you could see me, I'm sorry.' He replied softly. 'It's okay, I know it's hard for you, but I'm coming home soon. I've got to go and eat now, I'll see you soon.' She said whilst injecting kisses down the phone, Mason doing the same thing back to her expressing his love for the girl.
