*TW: alcohol and drug abuse*
———————————————————————'Jade! Jade!' A boy yelled from behind the front door. He looked around the entrance for a spare key, finding one under the door mat- quickly putting it in the lock and opening the door, so fast he did not even shut it. His heart raced as fast as he did through the hallway, moving his way into the kitchen. He noticed the girl lay with her head to the side, facing away from him. The Chelsea boy quickly scanning the room to see any other evidence of what had happened, as he saw smears of blood across the counter and some of the floor by her head. He rushed towards the girl, picking up her head softly and tilting it so it was facing him, he noticed the froth that had previously bubbled from her mouth, causing him to look away for a split second, covering his mouth and nose with part of his arm. He moved his hand away from her head, to reach for his phone and call the ambulance, quickly noticing blood staining the palm of his hand, but nothing stopped him from calling 999.
'Jade, I can't lose you! Wake up, please.' Mason said, sobbing whilst checking her pulse, the girl was unresponsive but she still had her heartbeat, which was all that mattered in that moment to Mason. 'I love you' he cried, holding her face in-between his palms, as tears dripped onto her forehead, which he had repeatedly kissed a thousand times since he had found her. He gripped her hand tightly, awaiting the arrival of the paramedics, when they came he instructed them to take her to a private hospital, in which she would have the best treatment, Mason paid for it all.
Later on, Jade was settled attached to a machine, she was still unconscious but breathing, Mason invited a small circle of family and friends to see the girl, as he didn't expect Jade wanted many people to know about the situation.
'Mason, we couldn't thank you enough for everything you've done for our daughter tonight, we will all treasure you forever.' Said Teresa (Jade's mother) whilst pulling Mason in for a hug.
'I just want her to be okay.' The boy leaving a tear upon Teresa's shoulder.
'I'm sure she will be mate.' Reassured Sean, rubbing the brunette's arm, pulling him in for yet another hug.
'Come on mate, you need to get some sleep you've been here since 9pm, it's five in the morning. I'll watch her and text you anything that happens, yeah?' Said Declan, trying to calm his best friend down.
'What if she wakes up, Dec. I have no chance of sleeping on this anyway.'
'Okay, just let me know if you want to go home.' The Westham boy smiled with watery eyes.It was eight hours later and Jade had woken up from what felt like an eternity of sleep. 'Hey.' She said smiling at the Chelsea boy who was gripped onto her hand, half asleep from being awake all night. 'Oh my god, you're awake. She's awake!' He cried, alerting everyone in the waiting room. 'I'm so happy you don't understand. I was worried sick about you we all were.' He said whilst leaning in to press a kiss on her forehead. 'Mason, what happened to me? Did I overdo-'
'Shh, you don't need to worry right now baby, I'm just glad you're alive.' Mason said, putting a finger to her lips indicating silence from the girl.
'I'm stupid aren't I.' She said, begging to sob.
'No. You're not stupid, you're just dealing with shit, and I'm going to do everything in my power to make sure this never happens again and that you can recover, because if there is any chance this is somehow my fault I want to fix it because I love you, and I never want you to feel this way ever again because I can't stand seeing you like this.' Mason rambled, slightly forgetting what he had just said.
'You love me?' Jade said, looking towards Mason; her eyes twinkling.
'I do love you.' He replied smiling back at her.
'I love you too' she said, signalling for him to kiss her. 'Thank you for everything' Jade spoke, interrupting the kiss, 'I'd do anything for you, within reason ofcourse' Mason laughed, standing up to call the rest of Jade's family in.
