You're Safe Now (Nyssara)

Nysa and Sara save runaway Y/N from her attempted kidnapping. TW: attempted kidnapping and past abusive relationships

Nyssa and Sara are walking through Star City after a date, fingers intertwined. Nyssa smiles over at the blonde, who smiles back at her girlfriend. Suddenly, the calm quiet of the night is interrupted by a woman's screams.

They rush towards the noises, and find two burly men pinning a woman against the brick wall of an alley. Panic fills her Y/E/C eyes. Her attackers are so focused on terrorizing the woman that they don't notice as Sara and Nyssa sneak up behind them.

"Let her go," Sara orders, causing the men to turn around. They sneer at the two women.

"No. I'd like to see you two try to stop us," One of them sneers.

"If you insist," Nyssa smirks.

It is over in a flash. The men lunge at Nyssa and Sara, who easily take them out. They soon are laying unconscious and bleeding on the floor. The terrified women is curled up on the dirty alley floor, gazing nervously up at Sara and Nyssa.

"Hey. It's alright. We aren't going to hurt you," Sara promises, "What's your name?"

"Y/N," Y/N replies.

"Y/N. That's a beautiful name. I'm Nyssa, and this is my girlfriend, Sara. How about you come with us? You look like you could use a shower and some sleep," Nyssa offers. Y/N continues to eye them cautiously, not sure if she can trust them.

"I promise we aren't going to hurt you. We don't hurt pretty women," Sara assures Y/N, who blushes.

"Okay. I'll go with you," Y/N agrees.

They help Y/N up. Sara texts Oliver to tell him to come pick the two criminals up before putting her phone away. They take Y/N to their apartment, where she showers and changes into some borrow sweats and a hoodie. Soon, she is fast asleep on their sofa. Nyssa and Sara smile at each other. They know somehow that this women is going to become very important to them.

Y/N continues to stay with them for several months. They help her get on her feet, securing her a job working at the police station as a secretary. Y/N eventually opens up to them and admits she is a runaway from Gotham City, fleeing her physically and emotionally abusive ex girlfriend. She confesses that she had just arrived in Star City when the men grabbed her. Y/N falls asleep in Sara and Nyssa's arms that night after crying her eyes out. 

"You like her, don't you? As more than a friend," Sara says suddenly.

"I do. I'm sorry. I know I'm with you and I love you so much," Nyssa replies.

"Hey. I like her too that way. Don't apologize," Sara tells her girlfriend, kissing her forehead.

"Oh. Can we ask her out on a date?" Nyssa questions.

"I'd like that," Sara agrees, smiling at Nyssa.

They watch at Y/N sleeps, smiles on their faces. In the morning, they ask Y/N out, and of course, she says yes. Despite the near kidnapping, Y/N is glad that she came to Star City, and Nyssa and Sara feel the same. Y/N can't wait for their date, and is excited that her life has finally taken a turn for the better.
