It had been around two weeks since Eli came to the manor. He had yet to be placed into a match however he was still able to get along with the others. As Emily had explained to him, the manor was unpredictable. Some survivors barely had matches, others would have multiple in a day.
Eli had yet to meet the man he kept seeing within his visions. No one in the manor was close to resembling him at all. That didn't stop him from making acquaintances however.
There was Emily of course, one of the people he found himself being the closest with. He usually helped her heal other patients after their matches along with other medical tasks. He found himself relating the most to her. Both trying their hardest to help others not matter the cost. He also became close with Helena Adams, the youngest survivor there. Just like him, she lacked vision, however that didn't stop her from accomplishing anything. As Eli had picked up, she was one of the smartest survivors there.
Then there was Vera. Although she was quite the eccentric and arrogant person, something about her seemed off to Eli. She didn't feel as if she were real. He could tell whatever was wrong with her, she was suppressing it deeply. Whenever he had the chance to talk with her alone she was quite the different person than what she presented to others.
Each person at the Manor had their own unique qualities and Eli enjoyed that. Almost everyday he thought about what Gertrude would think of them. Pinpointing who she'd best get along with, who she wouldn't. It was hard having to leave her, knowing he wouldn't return. It was even harder trying to accept that no change had yet been made in Eli's life.
—————————————————————Emily was almost always the first to receive the news of a new survivor. She was never given any details of whoever would arrive, only the day of arrival. She wasn't aware of who supplied this information, much like the information for matches the survivors were put in, but she still did her best to prepare. Making sure everyone was gathered and ready to greet the newest "guest", having rooms ready for whoever was unfortunate enough to show up.
She hadn't expected to receive news of a new survivor this soon. Nonetheless she was prepared to take them in and help them to the best of her abilities.
The first person she went to was Eli Clark. As she had learned, he was much like her. Open to help, ready to sacrifice. He had told her all about his past relationship and how he had broken his oath just to save the girl he loved. It was pitiful really, however Emily knew what he felt. Doing everything in your power to help someone.
To her surprise Eli was more than happy to help. Usually the others weren't open to having to clean the entire manor with her. Emily was glad to have someone willing to help. So they started by preparing the new guests bedroom.
"Do you know anything about the new survivor Emily?" Eli inquired as the two prepared the bed.
She stopped to think for a moment before answering.
"All I know is that the new arrival is a woman, I'm not given any other information beyond that. Only arrival dates."
She watched as the Seers nose scrunched as he slightly shook his head.
"Did you see differently?" she said as she stopped fluffing the pillows.
"I can't say, I don't want to break my oath again. I was just expecting different news" was all Eli said.
And with that the two continued preparing the manor for the new survivors arrival.

It was nightfall when Aesop finally arrived at the manors gate. He looked down at the invitation of the woman who owned it before, wondering if that was enough to get in.
