You and Germany moved silently through the tall grass, thankful it provided some cover for the two of you. You kept your eyes focused on your surroundings, occasionally glancing at Germany, who was as focused as you were.

Looking slightly ahead to your left, you saw the south guard tower. Turning your head to the right, you saw the west guard tower. Past that was simply woods. If you could make it there, it would be easier to run or hide if necessary.

You made it into the woods, evading the searchlights that were constantly on. You slightly straightened your posture as you both walked.

"There's a German safe house in a nearby town- we can stop there for a bit to eat and rest."

You nodded.

You then heard the sudden blaring of sirens behind you and you tightened the grip on your gun and Germany spun around wide-eyed.

They knew you escaped.

You grabbed Germany's wrist and began to run, with him following you as you weaved in and out of the trees. You then let go of it as he ran next to you through the woods. You couldn't think- all you knew to do was act. All you knew was to run, jump over fallen branches, and don't stop.

You then saw the town at the bottom of the hill and increased your speed. As your feet touched the pavement with Germany still running next to you, you heard yelling behind you.

You did the only thing you could think to do to slow the guards chasing you- you held your gun in one hand out behind you and fired, praying you only injured someone and didn't kill them. How you managed to fire a large gun with one hand, you didn't know. But you had to keep moving.

Germany then pushed you in an alley on the side and you ran to the end and climbed a ladder to the rooftop. He followed closely behind you. Once on top of the building, you quickly sank to your knees and trained your gun on the ladder, breathing heavily.

"We can't go to the safe house- it'll lead them to it," you gasped out.

"There's a roof entrance," he replied, breathing heavily himself. "We can jump the rooftops and make it from there."

You nodded, finally catching your breath, heart pumping with adrenaline.

He looked over the edge of the rooftop to see the guards looking down the main road you were previously running on. He stood and walked to the opposite end of the building, then stepped over the gap. You immediately stood and followed.

You both then began running, you ahead of Germany, the two of you picking up speed to help jump the gaps. You then heard shouting below you. Then, you felt something hit your leg with a large force.

Hissing in pain, you collapsed and rolled onto the roof and looked at what was causing the pain in your thigh- only to find you had been shot by one of their guns.

Germany, if by impulse, immediately picked you up and threw you over his shoulder like a sack of flour and continued running. You still had your gun in hand, and even though your vision was blurred by blood and involuntary pain-caused tears, you raised the gun and focused it behind him, watching to see if the guards would follow.

Sure enough, you saw a couple of guards pull themselves up onto the rooftops, and you began firing your gun out of anger. Germany continued to still gain speed as you fired blindly and unhesitantly.

You saw one of the guards collapse and the other man stop.

You slightly relaxed, only to find that the effects of your blood loss and the true pain from your leg was setting in.

"Hang on, (Y/C/N), we're almost there," you heard Germany tell you. You felt yourself nodding through clenched teeth and clutched his shirt in pain and in a vain attempt to keep consciousness, which you invariably lost.
