Chapter 7

Emma was preparing herself for dinner with Kilian's parents in an hour. She choose a class white top with a blue jeans and tie up her hair in a ponytail.

She was so nervous that her hands were shaking. She heard a knock at her door, it was Kilian, she grabs her purse and goes outside.

"Love, you're beautiful" says Kilian after kissing her

"I'm just wearing a jean and a top you don't have to say that"

"I'll say that to you every days because you could wear a garbage bag and you will be breathtaking"

She chuckles

"You okay ?" He asks her seeing she was nervous

"I'm going to meet your parents so no I'm really nervous right now" she responds

"Hey I told you, everything will be okay my mother will adores you and we don't care about my father"

"Okay so I have to relax and enjoy right, after all I'll meet your parents if they are as half amazing as you it would be fine"

"Exactly everything will be fine now let's go or we will be late"

They arrive at Kilian's parents' house. Before them was a huge mansion that had character with pinks bricks and a beautiful garden. Emma was amaze by this house.

"It's beautiful" she says

"I'm glad you like it, come on they are waiting for us"

As soon as they arrived on the porch the door opened on a beautiful blonde woman with brown eyes who had a big smile on her face.

"Welcome guys, I'm so happy to finally meet you Emma, I can call you Emma right"

"Hi, yeah of course you can, I'm happy to meet you too I heard so much about you. Thank you for inviting me Mrs. Jones"

"Oh please call me Alice I have a feeling that we will see each other for a long time"

"I hope so" Emma says smiling to Kilian

"Well come in you're not going to stay on the porch the whole dinner, come in"

They enter the house and they were in the living room where a fire was burning in the fireplace. Mr. Jones was sitting in one of the armchair reading the newspapers.

"Brennan your son and his girlfriend are here. You can leave your newspapers to say hi and come to help me in the kitchen at least" says Alice to her husband

"I don't know if I really want to know the last conquest my son brings home because she will be gone in a week." He says his look never leaving his newspapers

"It's nice to meet you too Mr. Jones" says Emma casting a distressed look at Kilian. He grabs her hand and squeeze it.

"The pleasure is not shared"

"Father can you make an effort please I don't want to start an argument again, Emma is here so she can meet you so please be cordial"

"I won't be cordial to her until I know her"

"Try at least"

"I don't take order from you son" he snaps

"Maybe but you will listen to me Brennan you stop acting like a child and give a chance to Emma, your son is happy it's all that matters" says Alice coming back from the kitchen with appetizers

Emma was starting to get really uncomfortable but Kilian puts his hand on her back and rubs it a little for letting her know that he's here. They sat in the sofa.
