A lifetime with you

Chapter 9

Eight months later

It's been eight months now that Emma and Kilian are together, everything is fine their love for each other grow stronger everyday. They don't live together but it shouldn't be longer now because they both want this, they just wait for the moment where they will be certain it's the right thing to do.

Kilian hadn't spoke to his father since the incident with Ariana's grave. Emma tried to reason him because she doesn't want him to be fatherless when he could have one but Kilian is stubborn on this point so she doesn't insists because she knows how much he had been hurt by him.

They both work hard and see each other every days because they miss the other so much anyway.

It was Sunday and they were supposed to meet at Central Park before walking together. Emma was walking when someone bumbs into her.

"Eh you could look where you're going!" she says

The man didn't even look at her and ran away from her, she just had the time to see his face, he looked familiar.  She would have chase him if she wasn't supposed to meet Kilian in two minutes. She continue her way until she saw him waiting for her on a bench. When he spots her he gets up and greet her with a kiss.

"Hi love, what took you so long"

"Hey I'm sorry, it's just someone ran into me at the entrance of the park and he looked familiar but I can't remember where I saw him" she says thinking

"Well you'll find it I'm certain"

"Yeah maybe I don't know. Anyways I missed you so much how are you ? "

They start walking

"I'm fine, I missed you too. I was thinking maybe we could go on a date tomorrow because it's our eight months anniversary, you remember right ?"

"Of course I remember I just didn't know we were going to be one of those couple who celebrates every months" she says chuckling

"Well just the first year after that only once in a year, so will you go on a date with me tomorrow night ?"

"I'd love too" she responds kissing him

"Great, I'll pick you up at 7:15 then."

They continue walking for a while in a comfortable silence, holding hands until Emma stops in her track and broke it.

"I remember !"

"What ?"

"The guy who ran into me I know who he is" she says with fear in her eyes

"Who is he ?Emma you're worried me"

"He is one of Neal's friend" she says trembling

"What but how is that possible did he recognizes you ? "

"I don't know but he ran away from me the moment he could and I remember he was attached to my bag... Oh no..." She start searching in her bag and find a little piece of paper, she read what was written on and starts panicking.

"No it can't be possible, it's not possible" she says handing the piece of paper to Kilian.

He takes it and sees what made Emma panicking

"You think you're safe but I will be out very soon and when I'll be you'll be mine again and no one will be in my way this time. Neal" read Kilian

"It can't be real Kilian, right he is not here, he can't be out" she says crying

"Emma calms down shush, everything will be fine, I will not let him hurt you" he says pulling her into a hug

"But you don't know him, he is clever and strong and he could hurt you Kilian and I don't want you to get hurt"

"Emma look, right now he is not here okay so we don't have to worry he is not out yet."

"You don't know that maybe he escape right now and he is chasing me"

"Look I'll call David to reassures you but I'm sure everything will be fine "

She nodded

He takes his phone and dials David's number

D: Kilian hi what's up

K: Hi David well I need a favor can you look and tell me if Neal is still in jail because Emma had a piece of paper with a threat wrote by Neal's hand who says that he will be out soon

D: Of course give me a minute. I found it, well right now he is in his cell you don't have to worry you can reassure Emma maybe it's a paper meant to scare her and nothing more.

K: That's great thank you Dave and aye I hope so. See you

D: You're welcome see you

Kilian hangs up and says to Emma who had a worried face.

"He is still behind the bars love you don't have to worry"

"That's a relief but I know Neal, I know he'd do anything to have what he wants, I have to be really careful"

"Aye you're right we should be careful"

"Do you want to stay to my place tonight ? " She asks him

"I'd love too"

They both take their cars and goes to Emma apartment. They order food and eat on the couch with Netflix. Emma falls asleep on the couch so Kilian picks her up and brings her in her bed he climbs next to her and put his arm around her waist.

When he woke up she was already gone, she was starting work early this morning so she left him a note with coffee telling him that she looked forward to their date tonight and that she loves him and she also wishes him a happy eight months anniversary. He prepares himself and goes to work.

When Emma comes to the bakery Regina saw the worried face Emma had.

"Oh oh something is wrong what happened ? Is everything okay with Kilian ?"

"Yes don't worry everything is fine with Kilian. But you're right something is wrong. Yesterday I found this in my bag" she shows her the piece of paper

"How is that possible he can't escapes, he is in the most security system!" Regina exclaims

"I know and Kilian calls David yesterday and he says that Neal was still behind the bars but I know it won't last long, I know he will find me" Emma says shivering at the idea of Neal finding her

"Eh Emma you know that if it's happens this time is different you have a lot of people who cares about you so you'll be fine before he could do a thing to you. You understand ?It won't be like the last time"

"I know I just can't help myself to think that this time it will be worse"

"Then don't think about it. Look for now he is in jail so you're safe"

"You're right "

"Anyway what's up with Kilian it's almost your eight months anniversary no ? "

"Yes it's today, we are going on a date tonight" she says smiling

"That's wonderful I'm so happy for you that it works between you two. Even if I knew since the beginning I had a feeling"

"Yeah of course" chuckles Emma

When it was the time to go she went home and prepare herself for their date she choose a red dress that shows her curves and seeing it was almost 7:15 she goes outside her building waiting for Kilian. She was standing before the door when a hand grabs her by the waist and another put a handkerchief on her mouth and nose. She drops her purse and try to resist but everything went black.

Ah ah ah, you didn't expect this so soon did you ? What do you think happened to Emma ? And how Kilian will react ??
