Chapter 25

Next week Emma and Kilian are both back at work. Emma is better emotionally and she is working at the counter when a woman comes in the bakery. She approach the counter and looks at Emma like she was surprised to saw her.

"Hi what can I get you ?" Asks Emma nicely ignoring the fact that this woman came from top to bottom

"A baguette" she says sharply

Emma gets a baguette and try to talks with her since she had never saw her before

"Are you new in town ?"

"I ask you a baguette not an examination on my whole life"

"I'm just trying to be nice" Emma says starting to gets a little annoyed by the way this woman was talking to her.

"Then don't try and stay out of my life" she says leaving the money and grabbing the baguette out of Emma's hand before exiting the bakery.

Emma stays shocked by her behavior she didn't expect this at all. When she goes home she tells Kilian what was happened.

"Don't worry love I'm sure it's nothing maybe she was just having a bad day"

"But the way she told me to stay out of her life and how she looks at me. It was like she knew me but wasn't happy to see me"

"Who isn't happy to see you love. I'm always happy to see you" Kilian says with a grin on his face

"I know you are but it's because you're my boyfriend" she says smiling

"True" they chuckles

"Don't start over thinking Emma and come get some sleep. This woman is probably nothing other than a bad woman who had a bad mood"

"You're probably right let's go to bed"

The next day Emma was on her break when she hears someone yelling in the bakery. She goes out of the break's room and saw the woman of yesterday.

"What's wrong here" she says

"It's about time, you could have come sooner but like always you're useless !" Says the woman

"You have no right to talk to me like this, you don't know me how can you say this ! Now I'm asking you to leave the bakery or I call the cops!"

"Of course I can say this and of course I know you. I'm your mother Emma and I'm not leaving because I need to talk to you"

Emma feels herself falls she grabs the counter and Regina comes next to her. Her mother, how come this woman was her mother. She had talk to Emma so badly that she couldn't believe she was her mother.

"You're... You're my.... You're my mother ?" She asks her in disbelief

"Yes I am now can I talk to you I don't have the whole day and I think you made me wait enough" she asks impatiently

Regina saw how upset Emma was and made her go back in the break's room. She texts Kilian to comes here as soon as possible and she asks the woman to wait outside. Emma was starting to have a panick attack but she didn't knows why. The room was spinning and she was trembling uncontrollably when she saw her boyfriend's peaceful's eyes and she hears him calling her. She calms down a bit and Kilian pulls her into a hug.

"It's okay Emma I'm here everything will be fine."

"Thank you, I don't know why I had a panic attack, I guess the fact that my mother is in the other room and that she also is the woman who spoke sharply to me yesterday, and the woman who looked at me like I was the worst person in the world is something I didn't expected at all."
