Chapter 21

"Emma!" Kilian yells, she had fallen unconscious, he took his phone and calls the paramedics.

He carries her to the couch while waiting the paramedics to come. Emma opens her eyes

"Kilian..." She says so weak that Kilian almost cry

"Everything will be fine love, the paramedics are on their way, you will be fine"

"I don't want to go there"

"I know love but you have to, you fell unconscious in my arms and we don't know what's happening to you, you have to be check out"

He knew how much she hates hospital, everytimes she went there it was because of Neal and when she was a little girl she was always scared to go to the doctor because no one was there for reassures her.

"I won't leave your side okay" he gives her a reassuring smile.

She nodded and squeeze Kilian hand letting him know that she is in pain.

"I'm here Emma, tell me how can I help you ?"

"Just stay here"

"I will Emma, always" he kisses her on the forehead.

The paramedics enters the apartment and go to Emma. They start examine her quietly and Kilian was getting crazy because they didn't tell him what was wrong with his Swan.

"We have to take her to the hospital" the doctor says while the others were pulling Emma in a stretcher.

"What's wrong with her ?" Asks Kilian worried

"I think I know but I want to be sure before I tell you anything"

Kilian follows them and never let go his Swan's hand. They arrive at the hospital and they take Emma in the examination room. They gave her some medicine for the pain and she feels a little better.

"Ms. Swan I'm gonna do an ultrasound so I need you to lift your shirt please"

"An ultrasound, why do you need to do an ultrasound ?" She asks lifting her shirt

"I want to be sure of something, careful it will be cold" he puts the gel on her belly and starts examine her

Emma give a worry look to Kilian, he squeeze her hand for confort.

"I was right" the doctor says cleaning Emma's belly

"What's wrong with me ?" Emma asks impatiently

"Ms. Swan I'm sorry but you had a miscarriage."

Kilian and Emma look at each other in shock

"I.. I was pregnant ?" She asks quietly

"Yes"

"And I didn't know it"

"You were only a week pregnant and your baby wasn't viable that's why you miscarries and had no signs of pregnancy.

Emma starts crying.

"What is the cause ?" Kilian asks.

"Your baby wasn't viable that's why, you couldn't have empech it."

"I will let you grieve, you will need two weeks of recovery Ms Swan and this medicine for the pain. I'm sorry, I leave you two alone.

Once the doctor was gone Emma breaks into Kilian's arms

"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry "

Kilian who was crying too pulls her into a hug.

"You don't have to be sorry Emma it's not your fault"
