Chapter 1

It was late in the afternoon when Emma receive a text from Regina telling her to meet her at 9:00 PM at Ruby's house.

Regina was Emma's best friend since three years. Emma was in a really bad relationship with Neal and had no way to escape it until Regina shows up and helps her to put Neal in jail. Since this moment they opened a bakery together and never leave eachother.

It was 8:30 so Emma starts getting ready before taking her car and headed to Ruby's house. Ruby was Regina's friend and she really enjoy Emma, there will be Mary Margaret and David who were married and had their first child Leo 3 months ago, Robin, Regina's husband, the two had a child named Henry 5 months ago. Emma was really happy for her friends but she was a little lonely and she was beginning to worried if her life really started.

When she arrives at the party Ruby greeted her. And she spot Regina with their friends and a guy she never saw before. He has black dark messy hair, wears a dark blue shirt with a black jeans and definitely looks devilishly handsome.
She approached them and Regina greet her with a smile:

" Hey Emma I'm so glad you came"

"Yeah me too it's been a while since i went to a party" she respond, as she was getting closer from the devilishly handsome man she was caught by his ocean blue eyes where you could get lost forever.

"Emma this is Kilian my best friend from high school" David told her showing her the man.

" Hi, love" said Kilian handing her his hand

"Hi I'm Emma, Emma Swan nice to meet you" she respond never leaving his eyes.

"The pleasure is mine Swan"

The party went well, Emma took an instant outside in the calm and she was soon joined by Kilian.

"You okay love?"

Emma heart skipped a beat when he calls her love for the second time tonight.

" Yeah I'm fine, just getting some fresh air"

" Aye the party can get a little stifling"

"Yes exactly. I was wondering how come I never see you around if you're David best friend because I know him since three years and I never saw you"

"Ah yeah it's because I was in Ireland"

"Oh and you stayed there a long time?"

" Aye, I escaped my father who wants me to join his notary office but what I want to do is teaching music so I went to Ireland for my studies and for finding the courage to say no to my father " explains Kilian with sadness in his eyes

" Well that's a good thing you choose your path and you didn't let him control you, you shouldn't be sad about it and maybe your father will understand that"

" I doubt that, my father always saw me like the failure of the family because he compares me to my brother who is perfect and will take the head of his cabinet one day so he wants me to follow they path"

"He wants what he thinks is best for you"

"Aye well he's wrong but enough about me tell me about your family love"

A sad look passed in Emma eyes and Kilian saw it immediately

" You don't have to if it's painful" Kilian tell her seeing her hesitating

"No it's okay you share a part of you and you didn't have to so it's my turn. I was abandoned as a baby and I grew up in the foster system because no one wanted me so I ran away many times and I fell into a really bad relationship but thanks to Regina I'm out of it and I'm better now"

"Well I'm glad to hear that you're better now cause I know what it's like to have a bad relationship and it's difficult to move on from this"

" Yeah well I did it so now I'm focused on my safety first so I won't fall again in a relationship like this"

" That's a good state of mind"

" Thanks, I should head home it's been a long night"

"Do you need a ride? "

"No it's okay I didn't drink tonight so I'm fine don't worry"

"Okay then I hope I'll see around"

"Well if you hang out often with David I'm sure our paths will crossed again"

"Good to know, see you around love"

"Bye"
