Constance's body burned when Maro bit down on her shoulder, and his kisses stole her breath away and made her head spin. She had never felt like this before. These... noises, sensations, and emotions were all new to her but she liked them. Her mind was filled with him. He, the hesitant wolf she first met. He, the shy man who didn't know alot but at the same time had an outstanding intellect. He was nothing but sweet and gentle to her even after he found out about her cousin. He, who protected her honor even when he preferred to avoid conflicts.
He, who never seemed to judge her. He, who she couldn't stop thinking of during her days without him. She would often find herself gazing at the mountain he took her to, and she would wonder what he was up to. Her nights were plagued with dreams of them together. She usually didn't dream at all so these new dreams she welcomed to fill her nights.
When he kissed her firmly the fire in her stomach burned brighter, she couldn't stop herself and bit his lip harshly. Maro growled deep in his chest, his touch a bit tougher now. A small spark of satisfaction ignited at the thought that it hurt him slightly. A new hunger burned through her, she wanted more control and just more.
That thought made her pause. "M-Maro. Wait, We. We should go to bed." She placed a hand on his chest, her breaths came out uneven.
Her eyes fluttered open to the birds chirping in the air, her breath clouded in front of her but she felt warm with Maro's arms wrapped around her. She faced him and burrowed her head into his chest, she breathed in his scent and even though she just woke up she relaxed a little more than before. Her golden eyes traced his face. She tried to memorize every contour. His cheeks were pink, his long lashes dark against his face. His hair was a bit tangled, a long lock wrapped around his neck. His mouth was slightly open, and his breaths came out in white puffs as he snored softly.
She smiled to herself as she watched him, one of her hands lightly brushed his hair out of his face, and she tried to lightly unwrap the lock around his throat. His green eyes fluttered open in a dazed, sleepy look. He shifted onto his back as he stretched an arm above his head. The groan he made while he stretched reminded her of a dog.
She giggled lightly at him and proceeded to stretch herself, her muscles released tension and she sighed in contemptment. "Good morning Maro." Her voice was raspier than normal since she just woke up. He made a grunting noise as he rolled onto his belly, almost immediately he was snoring again. Maro didn't seem to be a morning person.
Constance couldn't help but coo at his cuteness, she decided to let him sleep for a little longer, while she did that she also decided to make some food. They still had a long way to go and they needed to eat. After a while he stirred, he stretched again and sat up. His hair was a mess and he frowned at her before he saw the food. His eyes lit up and he grabbed his cloak putting it on before he stood up to stand next to her.
"Hello Maro, did you sleep well?" Constance held out a plate to him. "Eat up! I made eggs and bacon." Maro's eyes widened and he took the plate with an excited look. He didn't answer as he picked up a slice and chewed it.
She ate next to him in silence, the excited look in his eye made her feel fuzzy all over, it was totally worth the extra few coins. She wanted to see it again. Her gaze stayed on the forest line, she watched for a chance to get more food. Her motto, better to be overly prepared, ran through her head. Maro wolfed down his food, only a slice of bacon was left when he released his familiars. Giovanni flew off, circling above them with excited croaking. Maude sniffed at Maro's plate, her lip drew up as she looked at him and growled low in her throat. He chuckled and tossed the piece to her. She caught it, quickly chewing before she wandered off.
Constance giggled at their interaction. She thought Maude, though intimidating, was cute in her own way. Maro gave her a half smile as he handed her the plate. She took it from him and pulled out her wand, she waved it over their dishes and they were clean. Then she put them back into her satchel. "Are we ready to head out?"
