Mimi's mind swirled with scenarios as she watched Balda, Her hands fidgeting with each other as she stood as still as she could manage. "Balda. I think I should go on the next journey. Constance is hurt and I can make more gadgets!" She tried to back up her reasoning. It had been a few days and Baldassarre was slowly healing from his own wound. His dark brows lowered as he scowled. His pitch black hair had gotten a bit longer, slightly falling onto his forehead. He sat on a stool in her shed shirtless as he rewrapped his wound. He had been decently quiet the past couple days, in pain and grumpy.
She could see the immediate look of disapproval on his face. His eerie green eyes sharpening before he looked back down to make sure he was doing it right. "No."
"Let me help with that." She looked at him with worry as her hands tried to replace his on the bandage.
"Maria." Baldassarre sighed, exasperated. His frown was still fixated on his face but he let her take over anyway. "I can do it. I'm not crippled."
"I know you're not crippled, I'm sure if you wanted to you could take me right here." She smirked up at him. "I just want to help." She wrapped the bandage like an expert having wrapped her own wounds.
For a split second he looked impressed and he flashed her a smirk before he stood up and grabbed his shirt off the work bench. "Seems like you finally understand." He could have been joking but it was unclear as he winced in pain when he dragged his arms into his button up shirt. "Fucking sleeves." He grumbled.
Mimi chuckled at him, finding amusement in his gumbled curses. "I haven't misunderstood. I just like to baby you."
"I'm going to make you regret saying that." Baldassarre said, his tone lowered as he wrapped his arms around her. He was careful not to press his stomach firmly against her.
"You can make me regret it when you recover." Mimi gave him a wink before she pulled away from him. "I'm going to the next location!" She called out as she bounced out of her shop. She made her way excitedly to the cottage and burst through the backdoor screaming for Constance.
"Mimi!" She could hear Baldassarre yelling after her.
"Did you do that on purpose?" Maro had appeared from the side of the house and was frowning back towards the shop. Mimi just winked at him before she laughed and looked at the shed as well. Maro looked uncomfortable as he normally did nowadays.
"Maybe I did, maybe I didn't."
"Mimi, get your ass back here. You aren't going!" Baldassarre stood in the shop doorway, looking like he was going to pop with anger. Maro slinked into the house, trying to avoid the situation.
"Yes I am!" She sung out to him and smiled. She thought he was really cute when he acted like this. She bounced inside to avoid more yelling and ran into Constance.
"Whoa! Hi Mimi," Constance steadied herself and Mimi bounced in place excited to see her cousin. She had always admired Constance and couldn't believe they were related, but she loved her dearly and was very excited for the baby.
"Guess what!" She sang. "I'm going on the next trip!" She grinned while throwing her arms in the air.
"Baldassarre doesn't agree." Maro told Constance sitting on the couch. He was tall enough that his knees bent at an awkward angle causing him to rest his arms on them to stay sitting forward.
"You need someone else there! I can help!" She said animatedly. "I can make more gadgets and other things! Bells can get stuff for me, he's a really good scraps finder." Mimi tried to reason with Maro that one more person on her side would be a good thing.
