Balda woke up from the best sleep he'd had in the past couple days. He was sore, and aching from the long hours he spent with Mimi in his bed. The sun was digging into his eyelids, he grumbled sleepily as he rolled over away from the light to grab Mimi around the waist.Baldassarre drifted in and out of sleep for a moment. His mind replayed a lot of the fun parts of last night. The night before last had been a blur of reluctant tears and drunken anger. He had been on his way to a second miserable night of tossing and turning alone in his bed when Mimi came. His heart had been stabbed painfully seeing her without having prepared himself. He had tried very hard not to touch her when she had straddled his lap, if he had been more drunk he knew he couldn't have kept his hands to himself. Baldassarre pressed his face into the pillow, remembering the uncomfortable parts of last night. Balda was wide awake now, emotions swirling in his chest uncomfortably. He growled to himself, annoyed as he threw off the covers. He didn't want to think about what he had said. At the time it was necessary to speak like a love struck idiot, now it made him feel uncomfortable and unsure of what he should do. Baldassarre sat on the edge of the bed, rubbing the rest of the sleep out of his eyes.
Arms circled around his waist and a kiss was placed on his back. "Good Morning." Mimi sighed in a blissful voice.
"You hungry or what?" He asked gruffly, trying his best to not show how uneasy he was. He had allowed himself to cross a line last night, one he hadn't crossed before.
Mimi nodded behind him, quiet for once. She unwrapped her arms from him and sat next to him in the bed. "What are you thinking of eating?"
"I'll figure something out." He grabbed the sweats he kept by the bed and hopped into them. "You like eggs?" When he looked at her his heart sped up. Her hair was crazy and the sunlight made her skin sort of glow.
"I'm fine with eggs." She stood up and stretched. "Do you have a shirt I can wear?" She asked softly, "My clothes are still downstairs."
Baldassarre swallowed and went to his dresser. He grabbed one of his button ups. His stomach was twittering with nerves and it pissed him off. He frowned as he motioned for her to lift her arms up. She did as was instructed and let him slip it over her.
"Thank you." The shirt swallowed her, reaching her inner knees. The sleeves were long and she had to roll them up. Baldassarre stood staring down at her. His jaw tightened uncomfortably as he watched her roll up the sleeves of his dress shirt.
"Ready to eat?" She looked up with him with a smile and a tilt of her head. Her hair fell a little to one side and her eye's almost glowed.
"Sit down." Balda ordered. He didn't know what else to do with himself. There were so many emotions that he didn't know how to describe, so he reached for the most comfortable one.
Mimi did as was told and looked at him with a curious face. "What? Didn't have enough last night?" She teased as she spread her legs a little.
Baldassarre's stomach flipped and he couldn't help but give her an attitude. "I'm just hungry." He growled. He was a bit embarrassed and he hated it. He buried his face between her legs, forcing himself to forget all about it. After he had gotten his fill of her, he went downstairs and started on breakfast. He didn't have much since he had been spending most of his time in the shed with her.
He cooked in comfortable silence. When he plated the eggs, salad and fruits he was feeling completely normal. "Eat it all. This stuff isn't easy to come by here." Baldassarre leaned against the island in his kitchen.
Mimi didn't say anything else, her face was a little flushed and her skin glowed with a sheen of sweat. She started eating without complaint and wolfed down the food. "This is really good." She stated as she ate.
