I was bored so I got up from my bed to tell my mom I wanna go to to Bennys house. She didn't work today so it was just me and her home together.

I sat on the couch next to her "Hey Elena" she said with her eyes practically glued to the screen. She was watching tvd. My mom had me at a 18 so she was basically my older sister. But she had my older sister at an even younger age....16

"Hey ma, I'm really bored" I said. I laid my head on the back of the couch facing the tv. Then my cat, potato, came and sat on my lap.

"Hey potato" I said picking up my head. I leaned down to potato and whispered "tell mom that we wanna go to Bennys house" A smiled formed on my face. She smiled "tell Carla to come here"

I carried potato and started jumping around smiling. "YAY!" I ran to the door and put on my shoes and grabbed my phone then slipped it into my back pocket and then ran outside with potato in my hand.

I unlocked Bennys house door with my spare key. "Hey El" said carla walking into the kitchen, mom and Carla were almost the same person, they have the same humor and everything.

"Hey Carla, mom says to go over" I said taking my shoes off. She smiles then walked over to take Flora and leaves. Potato climbs out of my hands and follows me.

I run upstairs to Bennys room with potato now infront of me and slam the door open but potato gets startled

"Benny your entertainment is here" I said. I said that in a country accent but I get startled when I see a girl from school in his room sitting on his bed.

"Oh sorry I didn't know you had company" I say getting off my tippie toes, I feel light headed. Potato gets scared when he sees new people. He also gets scared when he sees people who give off bad energy.

He immediately climbed into my arms and hid his face inside my sweater pockets. Benny looked at me and his eyes went wide, he secretly signed ' I like her. Leave'. That hurt me so badly.....but I don't understand why, I felt my heart aching.

"oh okay. I'll give you guys some time alone" I faked a smile and walked out. The second I walked out potato took his face out my pocket and gave me a sad meow.

Potato loves Benny so much so it made him sad that he didn't get any attention from him today. "I know po, maybe another time" I pet his head trying to comfort him.

I went downstairs, put my shoes on, grabbed my keys and went home. But I walked, slowly.

I left a note on the counter for Benny and it says

" went home :)"

When I got inside to my house potato didn't wanna leave my arms so he stayed.

Carla and my mom stop laughing and looks at me confused. "Back so soon?" Said my mom.

I rolled my eyes and said "yeah Benny has company " I slumped down on the couch. Carla face planted and said "im so sorry El I forgot to tell you" she seemed really pissed and had a sorry look on her face

I put a fake smile and said "don't worry it's okay" then I went up to my room. Potato climbed off my arms and laid in my bed. I changed my pants into my shorts and sat on my bed leaning on the headboard next to potato.

"It's just me and you buddy" I told potato. He was asleep now. How can cats fall asleep so quickly, it honestly scares me, "well now it's just me".

I grabbed some popcorn from the popcorn machine my Grandpa got me and turned on a movie. I put black widow.

By the end of the movie I was a MESS!

I was crying so hard with my mascara running down my face.

"SHE DIDNT WISTLE BACK?! WHAT THE ACTUALL FUCK IS THIS. MY HEART WILL NEVER BE FIXED! I SWEAR TO FUCKS SAKE MARVEL IS PAYING FOR MY THERAPY BILL!"

"NATASHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" I cried deeper and deeper. "IT SHOULDVE BEEN CLINT!" Then my voice got lower "no offense Clint I love you so much." I blew a kiss to my Clint Barton figurine that was on a shelf. I looked to my right and see I woke up potato. "Aw im sorry po" I laid my head on his tummy then kissed his head.

"Ew you need a bath potato. But not from me cause that's too much work"

30 minutes after having a mental break down from black widow, I called Dionne and told her everything that happened with Benny. After she threatened to fight him for making me feel like this, we hung up because she has to go out tonight. Did benny just completely forget what happened all summer between us? Or that time in his room?

I got thirty so I paused spiderman and went downstairs to get a drink. I saw my dad, Bennys dad (Ethan), Carla, and my mom, no Benny though.
I went in the living room to say hi to the people who apparently all live here too.

"Hey dad" I hugged my dad and did our small handshake. "Hey ethaaaaaan" we did our handshake then hugged.

I looked around to see if I could maybe spot Benny but I didn't "So uh......where's Benny" I said with a smile. "Oh.......he stayed home with a girl, They're watching a movie" Ethan responded. My posture loosened a bit and my shoulders were slumped. "Oh." I stared to play with my spiny ring.

"Cool" I said. Then I left the room and went to the kitchen to get orange juice and some cat treats for potato. I wondered why Benny likes her. Is it because she's blonde? Is she nice. She better not break his heart or I'll beat her ass. No, matter of fact I'll break her neck. Will Benny become more distant? how does he randomly get a crush out of nowhere? wasnt he the one stuffing hickeys onto my necks a few weeks ago? also why didn't he tell me, best friends are supposed to tell each other everything, right? What happened to Mr no time for girls? This is what I was afraid of.

When I got to my room, potato was playing with his toy aggressively until I walked in. I stood next to potato on my bed and he stood up to and held on to each side of my shoulders. "Let's stuff our faces with junk food."

It was time to say bye to the Carla and Ethan. I said my goodbyes to all of them but all I missed was my warm hug from Benny.

I closed the door and my parents stood behind me. "You okay?" Said my dad. "Huh. Oh yeah I'm good I don't need Benny" I replied. I terribly needed my best friend back. I know it's only been a day but I know sooner or later he's gonna be wrapped around her and not need or want me around.

No matter how hard I tried to hold the tears back I simply couldn't, moments later I was completely sobbing in my dads arms.

"Don't forget how beautiful you are Mami, I don't want you comparing yourself to her aight ml?" My dad said, hugging me and resting his chin on my head. I wasn't crying any,ore, now I is had tears rolling down my cheeks and hugged my dad silently.

"But she's so pretty papi." I sighed

"What she look like" he asked

"Blonde"

He went quiet and I looked up at him, he was giving me a dirty look and I giggled. "Girl she doesn't even compare to you. Latinas will always be better. Case closed"
