CHAPTER FOUR
HALLUCINATING

Thea was looking at herself in the mirror in the bathroom attached to her hospital room. She slowly dragged her finger along her cheek bones which were much more prominent now, along with the bones in her body from the constant weight loss from now eating. Thea always knew she was attractive and was never afraid to use her appearance to her advantage to get whatever she needed, but now as she looked at herself, taking in her pale skin and the darkness around her eyes from constant sleepless nights; all she thought was that she looked disgusting and she hated it but knew that it was another thing that she deserved for all the hurt she'd caused.

Thea could risk leaving the hospital again and abandon her truck, but she really didn't want to. It was the only thing left that she truly owned and it was kind of sentimental to her and she didn't want to abandon it unless she absolutely had to. Even after she got shot at and taken by hunter's to be tortured, she still found her truck again where it was left behind.

Derek and Argent had remained at hospital with Melissa, waiting for Scott to get there and Thea could still hear them talking out her room but she didn't focus on what they were saying; just making sure she knew where they were. She knew Derek was probably listening in on her, making sure she wasn't trying to escape again.

Her eyes loitered on the shower, debating with herself whether she should risk it, knowing she probably didn't have long before the pack arrived but also not knowing when she'd next be able to have a shower and feel clean. Keeping the few clothes she owned clean wasn't easy either, so whenever she came across any money from any little jobs she could find, she would have to split it between food, gas, and the laundromat. When it came to showering, she sometimes would sneak into the high school and use the facilities in the girl's locker room; but she couldn't do it too often in case Liam or one of the other member's of the puppy pack, as she liked to call them, saw her.

Fuck it. She thought and clicked the door shut, before stripping out of her clothes and folding them up on the counter by the sink.

She turned the shower on and stepped into the tub, pulling the curtain shut. It wasn't the best shower ever but Thea just lost herself in the flow of water encasing her body. She didn't even notice when she dropped to the floor, but when there was a knock at the door and she looked up, she realised she'd dropped onto the base of the shower with her head in her knees as the water rolled down her back.

"Yes?" She called out but didn't get a reply.

She waited a few seconds and then heard retreating footsteps away and let her head drop back into her knees. Obviously, she couldn't even be trusted to take a shower and they were making sure she didn't escape out the window which she did actually debate doing for a while.

Eventually, she stood back up and turned the shower off and wrapped the towel around her body, starting to dry herself. She left her wet and started putting her clothes back on. Thea had her leggings and bra on and was in the middle of picking up her jacket when the door slammed open and a figure burst into the room crashing into her.

"What the fuck?" She groaned as she slipped on the puddle of water on the floor around her feet and fell onto the ground, with a hard body landing on top of her.

"Shit, sorry." A familiar voice breathed in her ear and she looked up at those beautiful blue eyes.

"I'm not in love with her." Liam told Scott when they were walking through the hospital to find Thea; with Lydia, Malia and Stiles walking behind them.

It was the first thing any of them had said after Stiles forbade them from talking after Malia's confession of her attraction to Thea.

"Okay." Scott chuckled. "Good to know. But we can't always control who we love, so it would be okay if you were."
