CHAPTER EIGHT
GONE GIRL"Liam, she'll call you back soon." Mason assured him the following day as they were leaving school. "I know you think she's your anchor and everything but you know you can't be getting angry so soon after all that happened. Nolan's still cautious around you..."
"He knows something." Liam muttered, following Mason to his car where Corey was waiting for them. "He heard me say Thea's name to Corey and then he got all twitchy. More than usual. I'm gonna go find him—"
"No." Mason said firmly as he and Corey each grabbed Liam's arms and pushed him into the backseats of Mason's car. "Everything will be okay."
2 Months Later...
Everything was not okay. Two months had passed and Liam was in a spiral of emotions. He still had no news of where Thea was or how she was doing it if she was even still alive. He was quietly confident on the latter however, believing Corey would be able to sense if his fellow chimera had died. Since her disappearance, Liam had been avoiding the older pack members as much as he could get away with whilst still helping them when they needed it with their plans for plotting Monroe's downfall.
Liam blamed them. Mainly Stiles, but the others weren't that bothered about where she was either, just as long as she wasn't hurting anyone or causing trouble. It was because of them that Thea left. It was because of them that Liam didn't have his anchor and was slowly losing himself and finding it nearing impossible to control his worsening temper.
Liam was currently sat in the back of the jeep whilst Scott and Stiles were sat up front. They'd just left a meeting with Argent who was giving them feedback of information he'd gathered from his guy on the inside, with news of Monroe's whereabouts.
"Liam, this is getting ridiculous now." Stiles said angrily after managing to stay silent for the first five minutes of their drive. "You're gonna have to speak to us sooner or later. It's not our fault that Thea has just proven what I've been telling you all along."
Liam hadn't said a word since they'd left Argent's presence and they all got back into the jeep. Now it was no longer necessary, he didn't want to talk to them if he didn't have to whilst they weren't working on ways to stop Monroe. Liam had originally been furious with Argent when it registered in his mind that he was the one who shot Thea before she left town, but after Scott explained what he heard the chimera say; he knew he couldn't blame the man as it had undoubtedly brought up memories of what happened to his daughter Allison.
"Stiles, leave him alone." Scott sighed, sounding as fed up as he'd looked for weeks. The growing pressure was getting to the whole pack, the pressure to find Monroe and stop her from hurting anyone else.
Liam could see that Scott, like Lydia, felt somewhat guilty about the situation, but he knew it was more to do with the fact that they felt bad due to Liam's feeling rather than how Stiles had treated Thea. With the cracks forming in the pack again, it was clear that they were all starting to feel it. They were losing their advantage against Monroe due to the consistent arguments that were happening between them; mostly being Liam fighting with Stiles or Malia or even occasions Corey would back Liam up strongly.
"Scott, I'm not trying to be a dick." Stiles argued. "Okay, maybe a little bit. I don't like the girl. I don't know if I could ever like her again after what she did. But that's not the point. I heard what you said after those last group of hunters attacked the other day. You said that Thea had been there. After we all woke up, you said you could smell her. I'm not trying to be mean, but you're kind of losing it."
