Chapter 18

Question of the chapter : Who is your patronus ?

Reader's P.O.V :

Christmas vacations came to an end. I enjoyed each second I passed with Severus. He seemed to relax too during this break. I can't be happier.

Students came back a week ago and today we have Quidditch. Gryffindor vs Slytherin ( I know that this happened in early November but I play a little with the time. )

Feeling extremely happy I have my breakfast at the Great Hall looking at a nervous Harry who is Gryffindor's seeker. It will be his first match and I can't wait to see him flying like his father.

I have been playing Quidditch too when I was a student. I was Ravenclaw's keeper. Old good times.

When all of my friends were alive and happy. However, I wouldn't change anything. I am happy too with Severus. Far happier than when I was with Sirius.

" Why didn't you wake me up ? " Severus, who has just sat down, asks me.

" You were sleeping so peacefully. How could I ? " I reply smiling.

Severus rolls his eyes and sighs.

" Who do you think will win ? " I question.

" Who do you want to win ? " He questions back.

" Can I not answer ? I don't think that you would like my reply. " I respond.

Severus glances at me but doesn't seem offended. " I already knew what would you answer. It's fine. " 

We eat our breakfast and leave the Great Hall. We spot Katie walking towards the quidditch stadium and join her.

Oh God. She was SO excited. She starts speaking about the teams, their brooms, various statistics, the weather etc.

I always admired her knowledge about Quidditch even if she had never played herself. Katie was always afraid of hights.

Well, I can't blame her. She almost fell from her broomstick during our first year. However, she was my back up.

She was telling me everything I needed to know before a match about my opponents. She helped me train and become a better player.

I owe her so much.

So, being used at this speech, I listened care fully. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about Severus.

He didn't like Katie pointing out all the weaknesses of his team. His face was magnificent when Katie said a couple of no good things for Slytherin's seeker.

We sit at our usual seats at the quidditch pitch. Me and Katie next to each other. The thing is that we are sitting next to a former Ravenclaw -like me- Quirinus and Severus sits in front of him.

" Hello ladies. " Quirrell greets.

" Hey there. Who do you think will win ? " Katie inquires.

" Slytherin because Potter is a little small to handle. " He answers.

" We will see how it will go but I have a question. " I respond.

" Go on. " Quirinus encourages me.

" What is under the turban ? " I ask him. Severus turns and looks daggers at me but I can see the curiosity clear in his eyes.

" I.. <em> hair maybe ? " Quirrel reacts.

I nod seeing that this will end nowhere and wait for the beginning of the game.

Severus told me of their 'innocent conversation' during Christmas night near the library.

I am really interested to see what hides underneath this purple turban.

The match starts. Katie begins talking again commenting each movement. I can't do nothing but agree with her. She is totally right. As always (❤)

Suddenly Harry's broom... disobeys him. Going in front and behind really quickly.

My eyes widen. The child is to die.

I glance at Severus only to notice that he is the one who says the counter spell.

The question is : Who tries to kill Harry ?

My eyes scan the older students. A teacher would never try to kill a first-year, someone thinks that this is the perfect prank. (please don't say in comments that we are idiots because we didn't see the guy next to us doing it.)

I do this until I smell smoke. Wait smoke ? Is something burning ?

I take my eyes and search for the source.

A coat. Severus' coat.

" Severus. Your coat ! " I shout.

Everyone turns to gaze at Severus. He stands and tries to extinguish the fire with his foot. While doing so, he accidentally falls on top of Quirinus.

God, I would have done everything to be at Quirrell's place right now.

Severus quickly pulls away and continues fighting with the fire.

Stupid Severus.

I take my wand and with a wave of it; no fire at all.

My lover sits again and peers at me. " I wait for a reward. " I state smirking.

Severus rolls his eyes playfully pretending to ignore me. However, we both know what we will be doing before sleeping.
