We just stood right there, with tears streaming down my eyes.

"You shouldn't feel bad about using money you worked hard for." He finally said something. I lowered my gaze.

"Not if I thought you were dead or something bad happened to you." I answered, my voice croaky.

I heard him exhale loudly before I felt his warm hand on my cheek, wiping off my tears softly, I looked up and he was looking at me, without hatred, he was just looking into my eyes as he cleaned my cheeks with his palms.

"I hate to admit that you're right." He spoke. I didn't say anything, just kept looking as he lowered his hand from my face.

"Do Sophia and Stephanie know about what happened?" I asked.

"No." He shook his head lightly. "But Grandma does."

I nodded my head, not knowing how to feel. "I am sorry about your father." I whispered.

"Don't be." He replied, "he got what he deserved, he never cared for anybody anyways."

"What happens now? To your mafia?" I ask.

"It's not mine, and I don't know." He replied with a hint of anger in his voice.

"You won't take over from your father?" I ask, hoping he won't.

"No." He whispers, "I don't want to make my father's mistakes. And besides, I promised Sophia."

I nod my head again.

"You look so frail, what happened to you?" He asks and I don't look up from the floor, I fold my arms and just stare down.

"You look like you haven't eaten in weeks. Did you really love me that much?" I hear the humour in his voice and I don't resist the smile that finds it's way to my face before I look up and push him, he has a grin on his face as he stops himself from falling, I turn away shyly and begin walking to the kitchen. I hear him follow me, I grab two glasses and open the fridge, pulling out some apple juice and pouring some into each glass, feeling his presence behind me. I turn and hand him a glass, before sipping mine with my eyes closed. I feel his eyes on me and I snap my eyes open as I empty the glass. He is sipping his slowly with his intent gaze on me.

"How did you find me?" I ask, dropping the glass on the counter.

"I have my ways." He simply replies and I roll my eyes, of course he did.

"You followed me?" I ask.

"Only when I found out where you were, two days ago, and coincidentally you're near the town where Sophia and Stephanie stay." He replies.

"Oh." I whisper.

"I didn't mean to, I just wanted to see how you were doing, but it was nothing I expected." He added.

"Did you really want your revenge?" I find myself asking.

"No, you didn't know you were going to meet someone as charming as me when you decided to take the job." He smirks and I struggle to hide my smile.

"Don't flatter yourself." I snort.

"I am sorry Ariana." I hear him say, and I look at him to see his eyes are sad.

"For what?" I ask, scared of what he would say next.

"For everything, for what happened to you in your past because of my dad and because you really starved yourself thinking I was dead. I cannot imagine you will continue to live like this if you thought I was dead." His eyes just looked so sorrowful as they stared at me.
