"Oh shit," Dean mumbled once Gustav spoke, realizing who the man stood over Justin was. Of course the one day we came out to eat he had to be here with Sasha and Mandy. Speaking of the home wrecker,  Mandy gave me a weak smile, clearly reminiscing over our last encounter. Sasha on the other hand had her eyes the size of Jupiter as she looked at Dean, who I had momentarily forgotten was my teacher.

"Hey dad," Justin smiled, gritting his teeth, not happy to see him either. I know Justin wanted to see him but I think he would've preferred if it was on his own terms, not out of the blue. A different waiter came to attend them, coincidentally seating them next to us.

"Great," I whispered under my breath.

"We might as well all have dinner together," Mandy suggested. No we shouldn't. That's possibly the worst idea she's ever hand. And she decided to get married to my dad. Bug eyed bitch, formally known as Sasha, was still staring Dean down like he was a person who just teleported from the sixteen-hundreds.

I wanted to so badly to tell Mandy to shut up but Justin was already giving me a warning glare. "Of course. I'm sure it'll be..."

"Great for you to all catch up," Dean filled in for Justin after he couldn't find a polite word.

I coughed uncomfortably, "Excuse me. I need to go to the toilet quickly. Won't be more than two seconds." I scurried off to the toilets as fast as I could without looking like an olympic runner. Letting out a long sigh, I leaned against a toilet door, staring at myself in the mirror.

It's gonna be fine. I'm just going be nice and everything will be fine. I won't have to see him again and it'll be fine. "Fine," I nodded at myself, that one word repeating in my head.

After giving myself that shit, unconvincing pep talk I splashed some water over my face to cool my flushed face down. I forced my lips into a smile so I didn't look like I was two seconds away from ripping everyone's heads off.

Ready to walk out I paused remembering Gustav was seated right next to me. Maybe everything won't be fine. Being stubborn, could you even blame me this time, I texted Justin as an idea popped into my head.

Me: Sit where I was sat so I don't have to sit next to dad.

It felt strange texting the word Dad. I watched anxiously as those three dots appeared before disappearing.

Me: Please Justin. I'll owe you one.

Justin: Fine but hurry up. Dean's fucked off and I'm just by myself.

My body relaxed once I knew I wouldn't have to sit next to Gustav throughout this painful dinner. Walking out, feeling much better, I stopped when Dean bumped into me.

      "How are you feeling?"

"Like I either want to kill myself or Gustav and Mandy."

"Well that's not good." He frowned, racking a hand through his hair as he looked at me questioningly. "I didn't know Sasha was related to you," he said but it came out more of a question.

"Surprise. She's my half sister. She was how he got caught cheating."

      "So you and her..."

"Do not get along. At. All."

He looked down at my leg that was shaking uncontrollably and grabbed me, his massive hands completely covering my shoulders. Seriously he had an iPhone twelve and his hands swallowed it, making it look tiny. Getting lost in my thoughts, I looked up shocked when he was suddenly much closer to me. He towered over me making me feel oddly small in a way I didn't like but his words brought some comfort to me.
