Rachel

Avery's pov

It's been 2 weeks since I woke up in the hospital, at classes I acted like everything is fine, even when I came across.. Nathen.
I just looked the other way around and pretended not to see him.
Everyday after classes ended I went to my dorm room and read stories,
I wanted to enter other worlds,
and forget about the real one.
I started wearing baggy clothes, I just felt more comfortable this way, it felt like a shield.

Dana came to apologize when I came back from the hospital, I forgave her, but for some reason it didn't seem as she forgave herself.

Chloe called me alot of times, but I never answered. I knew what she wanted, and it was the right thing to do, but I just couldn't bring myself to do it yet. I knew I have to go to the police and tell them everything.
I knew that was the only way of finding Rachel.
My cousin didn't know anything about what happened, yet.

Evening came again, I was in bed, my eyes started closing. There was a strong light that disturbed me, I put a pillow on my face, it didn't help.
I opened my eyes to check the source of it, and there she was, beautiful Rachel amber with her blinding light.

"I'm sorry" I said to her as I got up to sit.

"No, I am sorry, you got in this mess because of me" She came closer to me and set besides me.

"Rachel, just tell me where you are, please" I begged, still trying to avoid going to the police.

"I don't know where I am" She sighted.

"Can you describe anything around you? Are you in a room? Are you outside? What do you see? How do you teleport to me?"

"I don't teleport.. I see you. I see everything around you. I am with you all the time. For some reason, you are the only one who can see me, and only when I choose that." She smiled, but it didn't seem like a genuine smile.

"Can I try to touch you? I just want to check if you are physically here"

"Go ahead" She winked.

I brought my hand to her hand, I could feel her, her skin was soft. She looked surprised when she felt my touch, she grabbed my hand and started gently caressing it.

"I didn't feel anything for so long. It feels so good.. how come I can only touch you?" She asked while still looking at our hands.

"I don't know" I sighted.
"Rachel, I will go to the police, I promise" I smiled weakly at her.

"Thank you Avery" She kissed my cheek and vanished.

And then I woke up, not sure what to believe, was it real? Was it just a dream?
'It was real'
I heard her voice like it was in my head,
I smiled to myself and fell asleep again, somehow, knowing that she is always with me made me feel safer.

The next day I knew it was time to go to the police, I wanted to spare Cody the details, so I didn't call him, Instead I just hoped that he magically wouldn't be there.
I called Chloe to come pick me up, on the way there I told her about Rachel.

"Epic" She mumbled.

"What?"

"Can't believe you can actually talk to her. Can you make her appear in the car now?

"I don't know, let's check it. Rachel? Can you show yourself?" I giggled, it felt silly.

Nothing happened

"I don't know why she doesn't come, sorry Chloe" I put my hand on hers.

"Meh it's ok angel, I'll be able to talk to her all the time when we find her" She winked at me.

I smiled at her, feeling the butterflies creeping into my stomach again. Chloe.. she is too hot to handle.

'Look at you blushing, you two are so ment for eachother"
I heard Rachel's voice in my head.

"I think it's just me that wants it" I said out loud.

"What?" Chloe asked confused
I could hear Rachel giggle.

"Rachel appeared, well not exactly, she is talking to me in my head"

"What is she saying" she asked.
I could feel my cheeks burning.

"Oh well nothing meaningful, just hey" I mumbled, Rachel started laughing

"Rachel, I miss you, we will find you, I promise" Chloe said.

When we reached to the police station I stopped at the entrance, I felt nervous.

"I'm right here with you, you are not alone, we can do this, together" She said as she pulled me into a hug, I felt dizzy from her amazing scent, sniffing her made me feel high, she was my drug.

"Thank you chlo" I mumbled into her chest.

"Come on angel, let's go" She put her hand around my shoulders, and we entered.

I scanned the area with my eyes, praying that Cody wasn't there.
But then I spotted him, and he was looking at me with such concern, that  immediately made me start getting teary.

He got up from a chair and ran towards me
"What happened?" he asked seriously.
Some tears left my eyes, Chloe wiped them with her fingers.

"Don't worry Code, I'm ok, can we talk somewhere private?" I asked, trying to stop the tears.

"Come after me"

"I'm coming with her" Chloe said and caressed my hair as we walked, I leaned into her touch, feeling calmer and calmer with each stroke.
