I at some point regret planning this birthday celebration alone because of my tight schedule at the hospital but one thing that get me going is when I think of the smile I will put on Amir face and I will say to myself that, all this is worth it.

I am at the hospital now for my afternoon shift and the person I am in charge of is an old lady who is suffering for diabetic which it end up affecting both her legs and eyes

It has been three weeks that I have been assigned to the ward that is design for the elderly and at first I have an instant affection toward her because you cannot come to the ward without noticing her load nature, in the morning she will start with her daughter in law who is the one taking care of her then her two sons who usually come to visit her then all the nurses who are assigned to the ward including me.

What makes us close is when she is quelling at me instead of me to get angry like most of the nurses do I start laughing at her asking her what she want?

I just want to eat real food am tired of this dieting of a thing.

See Mama Hajiya that's what her sons are calling her , your sons want the best for you I start explaining to her that is why they are paying all this expenses so that you will get better and I promise you the moment you reduce your weight I personally will ask your daughter in law to cook your favorite food.

You promise she ask me.

I promise you I said laughing.

That's how we became friends.

She was brought to the hospital because she is gaining weight which it's not good for her health that is why she is in the hospital eating hospital food which even me I cannot stand it and she can't stop complaining that her sons are tired of her that is why they throw her to the hospital for charity.😁

I am just entering the hospital when sister Rose spotted me she smile at me telling me that your Mama is going wild today she even refuse to eat.

I smile back asking what happens to her.

She is just been her normal self you know. She said not caring.

I will go see her after seeing the other patient because you know her when I went to her room that means I will not get to see the rest of my patient.

No no no both sister Rose and Jamila answer just go to her we will take care of the rest of the patient just go to her room she didn't eat nor take her medication and have been shouting at her son, daughter in law and us especially you know just go they beg.

Ok fine I said giving up because I am in for it for the drama, when I went inside the room with a Salam I meet her sons and her daughter in law all sitted and when they see me is like magic they all relax before we could exchange greetings I hear Mama Hajiya's voice asking " who is this who just enter?" She ask with annoyance in her voice.

I just smile saying it's me Mama Sarah.

You are just like a person without face Sarah.....

Tooooh I said to myself.

She continues I recognize everyone with either their perfume, voice or the way the walk but you always change your perfume your voice sometimes is nice sometimes is not, when her son try to stop her from saying anything further she quickly shush him. Allow me to talk she said, women are not supposed to be like that you should have one personality she continues rambling and I just listen without a word her sons are looking at me with an apologetic look but I just smile at them assuring them that it's nothing.
