"So you're supposed to marry this girl?" Ilda asks me and I nod. "I've read this contract over and over... 5 times. I didn't sleep last night just trying to find a loop hole and I got nothing." I mumble and toss the contract on the table. "I'm going to ask a lawyer or something to look it over for me as well. Maybe they can help me get out of this." I mumbles and rub my eyes. "I wouldn't recommend getting a lawyer." "GAH!" Me and the rest of the class yell when we hear Asami speak.
"Jesus what the hell!" Bakugo yells at her and we all turn around. "My apologies. I'm light on my feet." She says and I sigh. "Why not attempt to get a lawyer?" I ask her and she reaches over me grabbing the contract. "I've been reading this contract studying for myself. I'm studying to be a lawyer and so this is a perfect situation for me. I've even tried to run a court case on how we could possibly get out of this but it's pretty air tight. If you want to fight it it could take ten years and god knows how much money to get out of it and on top of it, in the end you might loose the case." She says and hands the contract back to me.
"I mean no harm in trying but." She shrugs and I sigh. "Thank you for telling me." I say placing it on the table. "Of course Mr. Todoroki." She bows before walking away. "Where are you going?" I ask and she turns back to me. "Oh I was hoping to go for a walk before bed." She says pointing over her shoulder. "Should I contact your father to ask for permission?" She asks pulling out her phone. "What? No just.. whatever go." I say and she nods. "Oh ok." She walks and quietly leaves out of the door.
"What's wrong with her? She's like... Robotic." Kaminari says and I nod. "I know. She doesn't seem very happy but I can't tell if that's because she's so robotic or because she's genuinely sad." I say and they nod. "I feel bad for her..." Ururaka says. "I mean I feel bad for you too but I mean she's going through a lot too." She says and I nod. "She's all alone you know. She's on the second floor all alone, we're gone at school all day and she doesn't seem to go to a school, maybe she does something online but who knows. And you said her parents died right? I doubt she has many friends either... Must be lonely." Ururaka says.
I look down and think. "She said she had an elder brother." I say and think. "But he kinda seems like an ass for making her do this.. I mean he didn't even show up to meet me or drop her off." I think and look down. "I'm going to go speak with her. I'll be back." I mumble grabbing my phone and walking outside. I walk around for a minute till I see her sitting on the grass in the middle of the field. She was staring up at the night sky, star gazing....
I walk next to her and sit down. "Do you enjoy the stars?" I ask her quietly and she hums. "I do... I'm not allowed to leave after the sun goes down but I've always loved the starts..." She whispers and I look at her. "Before I started studying to be a Lawyer and my brother enrolled me in my classes I wanted to be an astronomer... I wanted to study the stars and see the changes of our universe. It's all so mysterious and beautiful..." She holds a hand up at the sky and then drops it. "Silly dream." She whispers and looks down at me.
"Do you want to be a hero Mr. Todoroki?" She asks and I nod. "Very much so yes." I say and she hums. "Is it because your father is also a hero?" She asks and I shake my head. "No, well apart of it yes. He's "trained" me for years before I got into UA. It is my dream to be a good hero though. I want to save people." I say and she hums. "Thats a wonderful dream." She says looking back up to the sky. "So... you're only 17. How are you already in college classes?" I ask looking at her. "I graduated early. My brother got me into some college courses and here I am." She says calmly.
"Why not do astronomer courses?" I ask and she sighs. "My brother says that being an astronomer isn't going to pay the bill. People always need a lawyer, nobody needs to see the stars." She whispers and looks to me. "That's stupid." I say and we stare at each other. "If we don't explore space how will we know what's out there? It's very important to explore space..." I say and she shrugs. "He controls my bank account till I'm 21... and by then I'll be graduating from my classes and hopefully getting a job. No time to start studying again for a whole new profession that won't go anywhere." She says and looks at her legs. "I'm sorry... you seem to be giving your all into this and All I'm doing is complaining." I say and she shrugs. "I have nothing to loose from marrying you. I'm just doing this for my parents and my brother... it's what they want, and I'd do anything to make my brother happy." She says and I just stare at her.
"Your throwing your life away essentially. But if it make you feel better we can just get married and nothing else. You're free to pursue a relationship with anyone you please and I won't tell your family." She says quietly as if someone was listening. "And what about you? Does that mean you plan on finding other love?" I ask with a chuckle but she just looks to the sky. "I don't think I'm meant to find love." She says and my smile fades. "My mom always told me... when you meet your one person. The one you love. You feel it. It's in your heart. It might take a while to figure it out but you know when you know. But I don't think I'll be able to know..." she says and I look down. "I'm fine with it though. I don't expect anyone to love me in that way." She says."Well do you have any friends you can talk to? You know just someone, anyone to support you through this?" I ask and she shakes her head. "When I skipped a grade my friends dropped me.." she says quietly. "I got busy with school work and I was dealing with my parents death and I think I turned cold. They said My energy was messing with them and they didn't want my negativity around." She says and I scoff. "What kind of friends drop someone after they loose there parents." I say and she shrugs. "It's alright. I quiet like being alone. I can get my work done in peace. I can't ruin anyone's mood when I'm in a bad mood. It just works." She says and I shrug. "I think maybe it'd be good for you to find something in your life to bring you joy." I say but she doesn't respond.
"Ok." She stands and holds out her hand. "Thank you joining me. This was nice." She says before sge starts walking back to the school. "Your quiet monotone aren't you?" I smirk a little and she nods. "I find it's easier to not show many emotions. They only get in the way." She says putting her hands in the pockets of her shorts. "You're somewhat monotone yourself." She says staring straight forward. "Some would say yes but I've gotten better." I say with a shrug. We walk into the dorms and she heads to the elevators. "Are you hungry have you eaten today?" I ask stepping into the elevator with her. "Yup." She says pressing the button for the second floor. "Yup you're hungry or yup you ate?" I ask with a chuckle. "I ate. And no I'm not hungry thank you." We get to her floor and I walk her to her room.
"Thank you for walking me Mr. Todoroki." She says opening her door. I get a peak inside, it looked plain. Just plain walls. A small desk and white lamp. And a bed, not even a nightstand. "Bit plain huh?" I ask looking in. "Yeah I guess." She shrugs and walks into her room. "See you around." She closes the door with a slam leaving me in hallway. I smile a little and walk back to the elevator. She sure is odd...
