A Fate Foretold

Chapter 2

In a bright and sunny morning, Avyrain was woken up by the loud ringing sound of her alarm clock for the 10th time already

"Ughh, I'm too tired to get up" she complained as she rolled herself down in her bed

'The fatigue from helping that random guy in Spain yesterday is really giving me a body ache right now' Avyrain thought to herself

She stared at the ceiling for a while then all of a sudden she got up

"I almost forgot, I have a date today" Avyrain uttered then she immediately ran to the bathroom

After taking a bath, she put on a casual dress as she said "Wait a minute, what time are we supposed to meet again?"

She picked up her phone and was shocked as soon as she saw the time

Avyrain immediately called her date while putting on a light make-up on her face

"What are you doing?" she asked as soon as he answered the call

"Waiting for you" Valt replied

Avyrain was shocked as she said "Have you been waiting there for 4 hours already?!"

Valt gently smiled as he said "I got too excited that I came an hour earlier than planned"

Avyrain gasped as she exclaimed "You've been waiting for 5 hours?!"

"You should have gone home and cancelled the date!" she stated

"I can't do that, I've been looking forward to go on a date with you for a long time" Valt replied

Avyrain let out a heavy sigh as she said "Just a little more and I'm almost done with my make-up"

"Did you have a breakfast already?" Valt asked

"No, I woke up and finished taking a bath just now" she replied

"Eat your breakfast first, you can't go on a date with an empty stomach" Valt stated

"Are you serious?, do you want me to make you wait more?" Avyrain asked in surprise

"I don't mind waiting for you, so take your time and prioritize yourself first" Valt stated

"No!, I'm on my way now" Avyrain stated then immediately ended the call

'Does he think I'm such a heartless woman?' she thought as she hastily went out of the house

Avyrain got inside her car and drove away as she said "Just wait, I'm totally going to nag you to death"

"Ughh!, I feel so horrible right now" Avyrain stated

'How can he wait for that long?' she thought

"If it were me, I would have immediately cancelled the date if someone made me wait for more than 20 minutes" she grumbled

The moment she arrived at their meeting spot, she got out of the car and went to look for him

"Avy!" Valt called out

Avyrain turned to look at him who was smiling happily while waving his hand

Avyrain walked towards him with an angry look on her face

"Listen here, you are not in a position to wait for someone that long" Avyrain stated as soon as she got close to him

"You are a highly exalted person born in a superior family and you are deemed worthy of being compared to my father, so don't let anyone even myself make you go through this" she stated
