A Fate Foretold

Chapter 11

Early in the morning, as the sunlight was starting to fill the dark colored room, the alarm clock suddenly started ringing

Valt reached out his left hand towards the clock on the bedside table as he turned it off

He rubbed his eyes and was suddenly hit with a realization

'Why is my right arm heavy?' he confusingly thought to himself

Valt immediately opened his eyes and turned to look at his right side

He was overcome with surprise as a sight he had not expected to see appeared right before his very eyes

Avyrain was softly sleeping on his right arm

'Is this a dream?, am I still asleep?' Valt thought to himself

Valt pinched his cheek to confirm then he mumbled in surprise "Is this actually real?"

Afraid that he might wake her up, he did not move and remained still while gazing at her

'She just gets more and more beautiful with every passing second I see her' Valt thought to himself

A minute later, Avyrain let out a small groan as she slowly opened her eyes

The moment she opened her eyes, a gentle gaze greeted her

"Goodmorning" Valt uttered with a smile

'Too handsome, his face is blindingly charming' Avyrain thought to herself as she reverted her gaze and sat up from the bed

"Ah is your arm okay?" Avyrain asked as she turned to look at him

"I'm perfectly fine" Valt replied as he sat up from the bed

'I can't feel my arm' he thought to himself

Avyrain peered at him as she said "Don't you have something to say to me?"

"Ah what would you like for breakfast?" Valt asked

"I'm talking about the messages on your phone regarding Arif and I" Avyrain stated

Valt froze and remained silent then Avyrain reached out her hand and softly held his hand

"I had a debt on Arif and he wanted me to repay it by going on a vacation with him and the voice record was just something he wanted me to say because I lost on our bet" Avyrain stated

"Do you believe me?" Avyrain asked

Valt nodded his head as he said "I believe you"

"You believe me that easily?" she uttered

"I believe in everything you tell me and even if you'd lie to me, I'll still believe in you" Valt uttered with a smile

Avyrain flicked his forehead as she said "I won't lie to you and even if I do I'd probably do it for your own good but I'll never betray you so be honest with me"

Avyrain gently smiled as she said "Aside from the men in my family, you're the only man I love so you got the privilege of telling me whatever is going through your mind"

"You love me?" Valt asked in surprise as it was the first time Avyrain confessed those words

Avyrain lightly laughed as she said "How can I not when you're so lovable plus you're too handsome for your own good"

Valt pulled Avyrain into his embrace wrapping her tightly in his arms

"I'm so happy that I'm afraid this is all a dream and I will wake up from this" Valt uttered while hugging her tightly
