A Fate Foretold

Chapter 5

"Umm Valt" Avyrain uttered as Valt placed the lunchbox on the table

"Hmm?" Valt uttered as he gazed at her

"I don't feel like eating right now" Avyrain stated

"Why?, is something wrong?" Valt worriedly asked

Avyrain shook her head as she said "Is it alright if I ask you to leave right now?"

Valt gently smiled as he said "Alright, I'll organize your food first"

Valt took out the lunchboxes he have prepared as he said "The white box is your main meal, the black one are the fruits and appetizer, the grey one had cupcakes for your dessert and in the black tumbler is a fresh orange juice while the other tumbler is just pure water"

'I didn't really notice how organized my lunch meal was until now, since I got used to having him personally feed it to me' Avyrain thought to herself

"Aren't you going to ask why I want you to leave right now?" Avyrain uttered

"You had something to do that's more important than eating with me" Valt uttered with a smile

Avyrain was hit with the guilt as she said "Yeah, I'm sorry"

"Don't apologize, I'm already happy cooking your meals and seeing you enjoy it" Valt uttered with a gentle smile on his face

Valt turned his back as he said "I'm going now, don't forget to eat on time"

"Wait" Avyrain stated

Valt turned to look at Avyrain then she said "The date, I can free up my time tomorrow"

Valt happily smiled as he said "Alright, I'll pick you up tomorrow"

Then Valt walked out in her office then he encountered Avyrain's assistant

"Mr. President, aren't you going to eat with her today?" Ella asked

"She had something to do, call me if she ever encountered a problem" Valt stated and handed her his business card then he walked away

Ella gazed at his business card then she placed it near her nose as she said "It even smells good"

"I just got a high quality business card" she squealed

Meanwhile, Avyrain is currently facing a husky man who was gazing at her like a predator

Avyrain crossed her arms and calmly gazed at him as she said "Tell me why you're here and let's just get this over with"

"Let's go on a date" Arif stated

Avyrain was dumbfounded as she said "Huh?"

"It's not really my style to ask a girl for a date but since you're an innocent virgin then I'll have to take you one step at a time" Arif stated

Avyrain looked at him with suspicion as she said "Are you trying to use me to take advantage on my brother?"

Arif chuckled and gently stroke Avyrain's head as he said "Don't make such wild assumptions, I wouldn't have returned the investments he lost if it weren't for you"

Avyrain looked at him in surprise as she said "I'm the reason that you returned the investments?"

"If you didn't tell me you're a Wisteria then I wouldn't even bat an eye on your brother's loss" Arif stated

Avyrain removed his hand from her head as she asked "Do you love me?"

"Love is such a strong word but if that will make you stay with me then I love you" Arif stated
