Two days earlier
"Okay give it back!" Sarah shouted to Jungkook, who only ran further with Sarah's phone held tight in his hand.
"No way! Not until you promise you'll stay one more day."
"I said I was leaving on the 28th not tomorrow!"
"Same thing!"
Sarah finally tackled Jungkook. Her gasping breaths were only mocked as Jungkook laid completely fine underneath her.
Damn Idols. She thought.
Sarah suddenly noticed how deep his eyes were, and for being such a dark color, how beautiful they were.
Jungkook's fingers grazed Sarah's cheek, cupping the girl's face
"How long are you going to make me wait before I can kiss you?"The question stung.
Sarah stammered. "I- well- um-"
Jungkook only laughed. "Sorry, I guess I... finally figured out why I wanted you here so bad."
The tips of Sarah's ears were red, obviously embarrassed. But she didn't pull away, only stared in the boy's eyes for a little longer.
"Jungkook, we can't do this. I'm in America, you're in South Korea. The difference between Hoseok and Riley and us is so large. She has no choice but to stay here, but I-"
Jungkook's finger covered her lips before she could ramble.
She would always ramble when she didn't want to hurt someone, defending her case until it eventually hurt her instead.
"I don't care about that. I can guarantee I have the money to fly you or me to and from Korea, and ... I feel like you're too good to let go, Sarah."
Her eyes were wide, surprised such words had just left his lips.
Sarah had liked him for so long, before they even met, that hearing Jungkook say he actually wanted her sent her heart into a frenzy.
"Can... can I think on it?" She mumbled, finally able to pull herself off of Jungkook with a small grunt.
But Jungkook pulled her back and pressed his rose tinted lips against her cheek, practically millimeters from the corner of her mouth.
Sarah flushed, smacking him lightly.
"Don't make me smack you I will not hesitate." She said.
Jungkook only snickered. "I don't doubt that for a second."
-
Sarah knocked on Jin's door. She remembered Riley telling her he was always the one to go to for advice.
He opened it within seconds, his hair wet and lower lip jutting out in concentration while the man was reading something.
Finally, he looked up. "Oh! Sarah, I'm so sorry. I thought you were one of the guys. I'm just reading this section from KMagz Riley wrote about the Army a while back... before her stroke."
"You can read English?"
"Yeah! I'm probably the only one other than Hoseok~" he said, trailing off.
"How is he, by the way?"
Jin shuttered, opening the door a bit further to reveal a lump of blankets on his bed.
"Not well."
-
Jin had to leave his room to talk to Sarah, once he realized there was a reason to her knocking.
They wandered to the kitchen, after Jungkook had gone to bed.
"Jungkook and I um... we-"
"I know, it's okay. But what's wrong about that?" Jin asked. He opened the fridge and gestured to a bunch of drinks as an offering to her.
Banana milk, sodas of all kinds, even beers and wines.
Sarah ended up taking a banana milk, as she knew Jungkook liked them and decided to give it a try.
Upon first sip, Sarah stared at the bottle with wide eyes. It actually was really good, and it tasted just like a smoothie.
"Well, to be honest I'm scared. I live in America, but..." Sarah trailed off, still embarrassed to say it.
"But you like Jungkook, and don't want to be an ocean away... I understand." Jin watched as the redhead almost chugged the banana milk. He smiled to himself when he realized they really were alike.
"In the end, Sarah... you have to do what is best for you. Jungkook is responsible for what's best for him, but at least think about it. Think about maybe coming to Korea more... maybe living here? I know we all would love to see you more."
Sarah bit her lip, but nodded with each point Jin made.
"What if I move here and Jungkook and I don't work out?" Sarah asked the question that had been eating at her mind since she first felt butterflies after receiving a message from Jungkook.
She'd been in a bad mood that day, and seeing his contact name appear on the screen made her feel lighter, like a weight had been lifted off her shoulders by his freakishly strong arms.
Sarah sighed as she realized she was thinking about his 'freakishly strong arms.'
He's right, I need to make a decision.
