Jungkook groaned, falling on his back against the bed.
"Come on, Kookie. Don't you think you're being a bit too dramatic? It's an earring!"
Jungkook only pouted in response to Sarah's comment, his eyebrows furrowed.
"Okay, I understand then. I lost my shoe, somehow. How did we manage to each lose something?" Sarah suddenly paused. "Other than our pride."
Jungkook sat up. "Exactly. Our pride! And what if we were spotted by someone? I can see it now, Jeon Jungkook and Mysterious Redhead Spotted Drunk on Streets of Seoul"
"Wow Riley has competition if you're planning on starting a gossip magazine someday." Sarah mused.
She made herself comfortable beside him, leaning against his shoulder as she thought back to the night before.Jungkook enjoyed the contact, but was still nauseas from before, so he laid back down.
Sarah knew she wasn't nearly as drunk as Jungkook was, but it was still a blur. She couldn't remember anything but the ramen shop.
Finally, she stood to get some water, but stopped in her tracks when something glinted from his front pocket.
"Jungkook!" She snagged the item from his pocket before either of them could process it.
He flushed. "Yah! What're you doing?"
"Sorry! But look!" Sarah showed him the light purple card she'd fished from his pants.
Awkward.
Jungkook, still red, took the card and read the Korean for her, though not aloud.
"Oh god..." he mumbled.
"What?" Sarah grew nervous. For what, she didn't know. But after all, Sarah was in a completely strange country, with a new language she didn't know.
"We went to a karaoke bar. On BTS night."
"I think I know where your earring went."
-
Riley groaned and her head thunked against the cafe table. "It's useless!" She whined.
The lady, who she learned was Lee. Just Lee. The lady refused to tell her anything more about herself; actually.
The only thing she was worried about, was Riley reciting the exact words written on a napkin on the table.
"Try again. It's okay if you don't get it the first few tries."
"Okay... Hoseok I-" her jaw dropped in time with the door bell.
"Fuck. I should go, thank you so much for your help Lee." Riley bowed to the woman as she simultaneously stood.
"What is wrong, Riley? Tell me." Lee said quietly, noting how pale the already fair skinned girl had become.
"So that man over there ... is not a very nice person." Was all Riley could say, jutting her thumb in the direction of none other than Doyun, who was still ordering with a smile on his face like hadn't tried to take the girl's innocence the first day they met.
Then, their eyes met.
Riley's blood ran cold as she practically hid behind Lee.
"Him? Oh I've seen him around, he likes to stare at young women as they pass. He's quite a... gentleman"
Riley couldn't help but snort at Lee's comment, but still avoided all eye contact with the man.
Oddly enough, he avoided her too. Like he was... ashamed?
Riley then stood from her crouched position and began to walk toward him. He stepped backward with each step.
"What're you doing?" Lee said from the table, shocked. And with all the pent up rage Riley had built up over time, Riley rolled her shoulders and swung.
-
"So we were here yesterday, then." Jungkook said. He was leaning against the wall of the karaoke bar's check in, glaring at a man who sent a glare right back.
"Yes. You were. And you made quite the nuisance of yourself, Jeon Jungkook."
"Whatever I did yesterday just don't tell the media, that's all I ask. I think we got a little... excited." Jungkook pulled out his wallet, handing the man quite a sizable wad of Won.
Sarah gaped at the transaction as the clerk suddenly grew much happier.
"So, what happened?" She asked.
"BTS night this year was one for the books, that's for sure. You and the girl there went and opened all the guests' doors and shouting, 'hi! I'm Jeon Jungkook!' before slamming the door again. Honestly, I've never had so many crying girls in the same building before..." he paused.
"I should actually thank you cause I'm getting more business since last night, even during the day hoping you're back."
Jungkook's ears were pink, and he refused to look anywhere but his scuffed sneakers.
Speaking of which...
Sarah was still holding her remaining shoe, as if it would get lost too if she didn't clutch it.
"I don't suppose you found a shoe like what Sarah's holding... or an earring with a star on it?"
"That earring is long gone, sir. I saw a girl run off with it when you got mobbed on your way out."
"We got mobbed?!" Sarah shrieked in surprise. "You could have mentioned that in the initial plot of the story!"
The man only shrugged, like he didn't care enough to mention it.
Jungkook huffed. "That was my favorite earring."
"And that was my favorite shoe!"
"And that is not my problem. Please leave or I'll return this money and spread it to all the gossip mags I know." The man spit.
Jungkook groaned and grabbed Sarah's hand.
As they walked out the door, Jungkook began to look sheepish.
"I'll buy you new shoes" he mumbled.
