December 22

Riley felt sick all day that day, despite her mother even coming to see her.

It was nice, but Riley had finally told her mother about Hoseok. And Hyunwoo.

Her mother almost caused a blood bath that day, but Riley convinced her she had a plan and to stay calm.

Riley had no plan.

"I have a plan!" Jin said.

"We've gone through eleven plans now, what could this one be? Alien invasion? Kidnapping?" Taehyung whined, sitting upside down on the couch by Jungkook, who was still in his own world about Sarah's arrival the next day.

Hoseok was willing to hear anything at this point. "Give him a chance, Tae. It could be something, right?"

Jin smiled.

"Remember how Riley did on that interview?"

They all nodded, remembering that night, they all cried over the stories she printed for them.

"The fan base loved her, look-" Jin turned around his computer, clicking over screenshots of the fans tweets, WeVerse posts and even other forms of social media like tumblr, thanking her for her work in relaying the Army's stories of the band.

They all were positive, not one uttering a word other than 'thank you.'

"Okay, what is this going to do?"

"We go public."

Riley had been sitting at her office computer for hours.

It seemed like it was the only thing to do, other than sulk and get caught in her own depression.

How pathetic. You can't even live without Hoseok.

Riley was at war with herself. Thinking she was weak for depending on him. When really, she was sleeping fine, and surviving off the hoodies he had practically drenched in his cologne to keep the scent for her.

But it wasn't just Hoseok. It was Korea.

All she wanted was to breathe that crisp air she always loved when she was away from the city, where Bangtan dorms were.

To go to that amusement park one last time... with Hoseok.

To stuff her face in actual Korean street food. One last time.

But overall, Riley missed her old office. Her old life.

How ironic.

Her computer suddenly pinged. Twitter. Probably some mention or comment.
"...post from BTS" it read. Riley gaped at it.

It was a video.

Jungkook stood at the airport gates, biting his fingernails nervously as he waited for any sign of red.

Any at all.

Please don't tell me both Riley and Sarah stood me up here-

Then, he saw it. She was lost in the Christmas crowds, but she was there.

"Sarah!" He said, his English obviously not perfect even just by saying her name.

Her head snapped up, looking for whoever said her name.

He thought for a moment.

"Ah... Jung Kook, over here!"

Dear god how does Namjoon do this so much? Better get used to it soon.

"Kookie!" She shouted back, her legs sprinting over, despite occasionally bumping into people.
Jungkook took a moment to admire the girl, and her clothes.

Yes, this was why Jungkook was so interested in the first place.
The smile, at first, but then he had looked further.
He had noticed how she combined patterns, colors and styles.

She was like ... his dream girl, practically.
Jungkook hated that term, but looking at Sarah now, he knew.

Sure, he wouldn't have minded if she didn't have such a unique style, but it just made him all the more inclined to ask Riley about her.

Before Jungkook could even bow in a greeting, Sarah lunged and hugged around his torso.

"You're real! I mean, yay you're real, whatever... I totally didn't think Riley was pranking me." She cleared her throat, taking a step back.

Jungkook smiled and pat her head, leaving his hand as he leaned to look into her eyes. "Should I have given more proof?"

Sarah's cheeks suddenly flushed a shade of pink at the contact.
"No! I mean maybe? Agh~"

He loved watching how she grew nervous, despite how she seemed confident over texting.

"I'm glad you came. Come on, I'll take you home... We have a plan to get Riley back, but I want to spend time with you since you came all this way... I'll just have to step out for a minute to record something." He said, winking.

The English was getting easier on him, remembering all Namjoon had told him about grammar, pronunciations and even his accent.

His accent was strong, but it was cute.

The two made their way down the streets, which were littered with food vendors and actual litter.

Jungkook paid it no mind though, as he only led her to a subway.

"You take the subway?" Sarah asked, looking up at the significantly taller man.

Jungkook smiled. "I do... I may be an idol but I like to live life like I'm not. I'm still 23 you know... I wanted to be a gamer anyway. The idol life kind of chose me."

Sarah nodded, understanding.
"I'm glad though, you give the group a lot of personality, and your voice is amazing!" She said, almost like a fan would. Jungkook smirked.
"And you are sure you don't like BTS?"

She flushed.

"I don't."

"Oh really?" He asked.

Sarah only looked at their shoes, as she was standing directly in front of him. "Mostly you."

Jungkook's smirk broke, his toothy smile spreading onto his cute bunny face upon her confession.

Victory is mine! He thought.

"Ah~ see, I'm irresistible!" He joked, taking in the sight of the girl's blushing face. It was so cute, he thought he'd throw up for a second, only to discover it was merely butterflies.

Upon his comment, Sarah laughed.
Jungkook's smile faltered as he became the flustered one.

Her laugh alone was enough to stop him in his tracks, but her smile made the boy stop and stare, like a deer in the headlights.

"Jeez..." he mumbled, rubbing the back of his neck as he suddenly lost his butter-like smoothness.

Smooth like damn asphalt with this one.
