Once again, the streets were crowded. Riley was tired of avoiding crowds and even oncoming cars, but god has allowed her to live another day, and after the days she's had back in Korea, she was going to make it everyone's problem.
This was now her second day of running and her thighs were on fire.
But luckily, Riley knew where the studio was, and that motivated her to run faster.
Onlookers scowled at her lack of manners, wondering what she could possibly be running from.
But Riley didn't care.
The studio grew closer, and Riley could even see the sign clear as day from her distance.
Once at the foggy glass door, Riley pulled it open and ran inside. "Hob-shit-hose-fuck uh... J-Hope! Where is he?" She said quickly, out of breath.
The lady at the desk gave her an odd look. "A fan?" She said, absolutely monotone.
"No! I mean, yeah but you see I'm Riley Clarence and I just got back from America and really need to tell him something important but he wasn't home so-"
"Riley." The lady said.
She winced. "Yes?"
"Studio A3"
"Oh dear god thank you." Riley bowed continuously, vertigo straining her eyes as she finally turned to run (again) down the halls.
Hopefully all this running will be worth it. Even if he doesn't feel the same, I don't care. I'm home.
Riley hit the door to A3 like a cat into a glass sliding door. But she made it.
Knocking almost endlessly, Riley called out. "Hobi! Hobi please let me in I'm going to lose my mind."
The door swung open within milliseconds. Hoseok stood at the door, and he looked tired. He wore his usual red sweater, and those glasses Riley loved so much.
He gaped at her before finally processing the girl in front of him. "Riley!" He cried out.
He suddenly wrapped his arms around the girl in a protective hug. She could hear his breath shutter, as if he were holding back his own tears. Riley breathed heavily into his sweater, savoring how his real flowery smell finally returned to her senses."I missed you so much" Riley cried, clutching the back of the sweater.
Hoseok pulled away to wipe her tears. "I'm so sorry you had to do all of that alone, aein. Hyunwoo seemed so trustworthy and when you called me you sounded so scared but now I will always protect you no matter wha-"
Riley was surprised to see tears welling in the man's eyes.
"No, don't cry, Hoseok. I promise I was okay. I wasn't alone! I had you on the phone, after all! Oh jeez you and I are both awkward with crying, huh?" She said, hugging Hoseok again.
He sniffed.
"I don't know, that actually helped quite a bit." Hoseok mumbled into the crook of her neck.
Riley only combed her fingers through his hair.
"Can we go home?" He mumbled, just wanting to hold her in his own privacy once again.
"Of course."
Riley didn't think she'd be the one comforting Hobi. She thought for sure she'd break into hysterics the moment her eyes landed on his face.
