Sydney looked at her phone. 7pm. She groaned and rubbed her eyes. I was supposed to be out of here an hour ago, she thought to herself. She grabbed her phone and called Bryce. He picked up after one ring.

"Hello beautiful."

"Hey sweetie. How was lunch?"

"With Nick and Bee, ehhh."

Sydney laughed.

"Are you home yet?"

She sighed. "No, I'm still at work. I'm about to leave now."

"Damn, you've put in a long day, since I know you were up at six this morning."

"What can I say, it's fundraiser season. It's like my version of Black Friday for the next two weeks."

Bryce laughed on the other end of the phone. "Don't worry, you'll get through it. So, you're headed home now?"

"Shortly anyway. I have a few things to do, but that should only take about fifteen minutes or so. Are you working tonight?"

"Yeah. I'm headed in at 9."

"Ok, I just wanted to hear your voice. I'm going to finish up here and head home and order a pizza."

"Feel better now?"

Sydney smiled. "Yup. Have fun at work tonight."

"Text me when you get home."

"Will do. Later sweetie."

"Bye beautiful."

She ended the call and smiled. She transferred a few files to her laptop and put all the papers in her briefcase. Once she had all of that done, she shut off the lights in her office and locked it up. She walked out and saw Audrey and Kasey there. She looked at Kasey. "Didn't your shift end like 3 hours ago?"

Kasey shrugged. "Nat and I traded shifts. She's working all day tomorrow for me."

"Oh, ok. Well, on that note, I'm going to go home and pass out."

"Hang on a sec." Audrey said as she leaned on the desk. "I got an interesting text from Meredith today about you and where you slept last night. I want details."

"Tell you what, text me when you get home tonight and the three of us can talk about it, ok?"

"I'm holding you to that, you know." Audrey said as Sydney continued to walk out the door.

Sydney pulled into her parking space and sat there too tired to move. She sighed and grabbed her things from the passenger's side seat. She got out of her car as Andy pulled into the spot next to hers. She smiled and waited for him. He looked at her worried. "You look tired. You ok?"

"Just a long day. I had to deal with Brad."

Andy winced at the name. "I still can't believe you have to deal with him. He keep it together today?" They started walking to the front door.

"Of course not. And what makes it worse is that he did it in front of Larry."

"Asshat," He said in a stage whisper. "So, are you actually going to sleep at your place tonight?" He laughed at his own joke.

"Noticed I didn't make it home last night, huh?" Sydney blushed as they walked.

"Oh yeah." As they made it to the front door of the building, she noticed Bryce sitting on the stairs with a pizza box on his lap. She smiled as she approached him.

"Pizza guy," He said with a smile on his face. She wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him. Andy coughed and she stepped back. "Bryce you remember Andy?"
