Sydney and Bryce made it back to their room at 12:30. "Well," he said as he closed the door. "We have an hour and a half till we have to be out of here." He wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her against him. "What would you like to do?"
She smiled as she put her arms around his neck. "I think I spotted a two person covered lounge chair on the balcony..."
He gave her a wicked smile. "I like how you think." He kissed her and picked her up, carrying her towards the sliding doors as she laughed. He set her down on the floor and opened the sliding doors. They stepped out and were hit by ocean breeze, the smell making Bryce smile. He sat down on the chair and held his hand out to her. Sydney smiled as she took his hand and slid up next to him, laying her head and hand on his chest as he held her. He closed his eyes and relaxed.
"Bryce," Sydney said, causing him to open his eyes. "I really do want to thank you for this weekend. It's been wonderful."
He smiled at her. "You deserve this, baby. You've been stressed and crazy for the last few weeks." He placed his hand on hers. "You deserve this and so much more."
She smiled at him. "I don't mean the suite, although I do love it. I meant thank you for being with me this weekend. Being with you like this has been wonderful."
His heart felt though it was going to burst. "Hey, I have a question for you."
"Ask away."
"How many vacation weeks do you get?"
She looked at him for a minute. "I have three. Why do you ask?"
"Have anything planned for them?" he asked carefully.
"Are you kidding? Me, the workaholic, thinking about a vacation? I honestly only take one real vacation a year and that's to visit Kara for a week in November and my other two weeks I usually sit around the house or head into the library." She looked at him with curious eyes. "Again, why do you ask?"
"How soon can you take one?" he asked.
"I'd have to look and see who has already requested one, but I'm pretty sure no one is taking one for another month. Now, will you please tell me why you want to know."
He smiled shyly at her. "I was thinking maybe within the next couple of weeks, we could take a trip together."
"Did you have a place in mind?"
He nodded. "I was thinking maybe we could go to Miami, and you could meet my dad, check out my other nightclubs..."
She sat up a bit. "You want me to meet your dad?"
He deflated a bit. "Too soon, right?"
"No," she said quickly, lacing her hand in his on his chest. "I didn't mean it like that. I mean, Kara is my only family and you've met her. No, I would love to meet your dad. I was just kind of surprised you wanted me to is all."
He immediately perked up. "Really?"
She smiled and nodded. "If you can give me two weeks, I'll let Audrey and Meredith know they'll be in charge while I take an actual vacation."
He leaned down and she met him halfway for a kiss. He undid his hand from hers as he cupped her cheek, rubbing his thumb along her cheekbone. "How was I so lucky to find you?"
She laughed. "You were lost."
He kissed her deeply, pouring in every ounce of love he had. "And found so much more than I could have hoped for."
The End

Author's note
I want to thank everyone who read this and voted for it. It's funny, someone had suggested a sequel to this story about their trip to Miami and I kind of laughed it off with a maybe. After rereading this while I edited it, I forgot how much I really loved these characters. I also have another story finished that I had considered posting here as well, since I actually enjoyed throwing my work out there. there's also another story I have swimming around in my head. Who knows, maybe I'll start writing a sequel while I post the other one and write the new one all at the same time.
Again, thanks for the support.
Stay tuned!!!
