Sydney parked in her spot and headed inside to grab her mail while she waited for Bryce. As she was getting her mail, she heard the familiar sound of a door opening from behind her. She closed her mailbox and turned with a smile. "Hi Mrs. Fitzpatrick."
"Hello dear. Long day today?"
"Yeah, I had to drive to The Oakridge today. They renovated the ballroom."
She smiled at Sydney. "Yes, I had heard some rumors about that. Did they do a good job?"
Sydney took out her phone and was showing Mrs. Fitzpatrick the pictures as Bryce made his way into the hallway. Mrs. Fitzpatrick smiled as he came in and gave Sydney a wink. "I said you wouldn't be working Friday nights once you met a nice man."
Sydney laughed. "Yes, you did. Oh, which reminds me." She reached into her briefcase and pulled out a book. "This is the one I was telling you about."
Mrs. Fitzpatrick took it from her with a smile. "Such a sweet girl. Thank you darling. Goodnight kids."
"Goodnight Mrs. Fitzpatrick," Bryce said as Sydney took his hand and led him upstairs. She opened the door and they walked in. Bryce looked at Sydney. "Does she always come out when someone comes in or out?"
Sydney laughed as she took off her heels. "Andy calls her the eyes and ears of the neighborhood." She walked over to him and kissed him, her lips lingering for just a moment. He smiled down at her. "I'm going to change out of this and into something else. Help yourself to whatever."
She turned to walk away before he grabbed her around the waist. "Anything I want?"
She smiled as she sunk into his grip. "Have something in mind, did you?"
He kissed her neck softly behind her ear. "Maybe just to help you out of that dress."
She smirked. "Not sure if I need help with that." She pulled away from him and pulled the dress off over head with a small flourish, revealing her pale yellow lace bra and panties. "See, it comes off easy enough." Her phone rang from her purse. She gave Bryce a wink as she went to answer it. She bent over and saw the anguish on his face as she grabbed her phone.
"Hi Kara."
"Hey Syd. I was hoping you could answer a question for me."
"Sure. Ask away." Sydney said smiling at Bryce. She walked over and held the phone on her shoulder as she began to undo the buttons on Bryce's shirt. She slipped it off his shoulders and ran her hands appreciatively along his chest, causing him to close his eyes as he held onto her waist.
"It's about The Oakridge. I mean, I'm inviting Gavin to go with me, so wouldn't it make sense if I'm the one that paid for the room?"
"Are you guys fighting about who should pay for it or something." Sydney stepped away from Bryce, still smiling at him. He bent down and pulled off his shoes and socks. He looked back up at her, his eyes devouring her.
"Kind of. I mean, we talked about the fact we were going to get a room. But I make a little more money than he does, not that that's ever been an issue in our relationship before. Is it emasculating him if I pay for it?"
"Honey, I don't know Gavin well enough to really say." Sydney undid his pants and slid her hand inside to touch him. She found him already hard as she gently stroked him. "I mean, I can see where you'd think that, but is he the kind of guy to feel like that? He's a preschool teacher." She removed her hand from his pants and walked to the counter, grabbing a pen and scribbling a note to him on the mail she just grabbed as she talked to her sister.
