There was a knock at the door. Nick got up and opened it. Bianca came in carrying a box, smiling as she saw Sydney and Bryce together. "Someone order a surprise?" Sydney looked up at Bryce with a playful smile. He took her hand and walked with her over to Bianca. Sydney laughed as she saw the top of the box.
"Surprise, it's not flowers," Bryce said. Sydney threw her arms around his neck and pressed her lips on his.
"What is it?" Audrey asked.
"Cupcakes from The Sweet Spot," Sydney answered.
Kara and Audrey jumped up. "No way, really?" Kara said as she walked over. "I haven't had one of those in ages."
Bryce reached in and took one out and handed it to Sydney with a napkin. "Strawberry Shortcake for you. Everyone else grab their own."
Sydney bit her lip and smiled as she took it. "You remembered." He nodded as he grabbed one for himself. "Thank you." She closed her eyes and moaned as she took a bite. Bryce sucked in a breath, his body jerking to the sweet noise coming from her.
"Ok, Bryce, this just bought you some major brownie points with me." Kara said as she took a bite of a chocolate one. "Actually, you get double brownie points for getting her favorite flavor too."
"Oh yeah. She took him there on Monday and he brought back some for everyone working that night," Bianca said between bites of her cupcake. "Since then, I think everyone here has gone in at least once. Especially Mr. Sweet Tooth over there." She motioned to Bryce.
"Says the one that yells SHOTGUN every time I go. You're not exactly innocent Bee."
"No, and it's worth the extra gym trip." Everyone laughed.
Sydney finished up her cupcake and put the napkin in the box. "I'm glad you're here Bianca. Bryce just heard an embarrassing story from my sister about me getting stuck in a prom dress that I'm sure Bryce would love to tell you about later. So, how about sharing an embarrassing story about Bryce."
Bianca looked at Nick and Bryce, her eyes pleading. Bryce gave her a nod. She smiled and looked at Sydney. "One time in college, Bryce had gone back to some chic's dorm room after we had gone clubbing. The next morning..."
"Not this one." Bryce said as he paled a little bit.
"Yes, this one. The next morning, I get a panicked phone call from him. He and she had sex the night before and before they fell asleep, he forgot to take off the condom." Sydney's eyes widened as she turned to Bryce. "So, now the thing is stuck to him, but he doesn't want to go to the health center. The girl he spent the night with is still sleeping through all this and apparently Nick wasn't picking up his phone."
Sydney closed her eyes and bit her lip as she turned back towards Bianca. "Just tell me you didn't use scissors."
"He was about to till I suggested soap and water." The room burst into laughter. Sydney turned and saw Bryce sitting down with his head hung. She sat next to him and patted his knee. He looked over at her through his hair. He picked his head up, his face beat red.
"I got a similar phone call from Sydney in college," Kara chimed in with. Sydney's head whipped around.
"Objection. Not PG," Sydney said to her sister.
"Overruled," Audrey said, motioning for Kara to continue.
"Apparently, the guy she had sex with didn't know how to put on a condom..."
Sydney jumped up and ran to the sound box on the wall Bryce had shown her. She turned the music up as Kara continued the story. Bryce laughed as Kara tried to talk over the music. Kara turned and smiled at Sydney as the rest of the room laughed. Sydney returned to Bryce and sat on his lap, smirking at her sister as he put his hands on her waist. Audrey got up and turned down the music.
