************Another 18+ scene ahead***********

Thursday morning, Sydney walked into the library at 9:00am and smiled at Natalie and Meredith sitting behind the desk.

"Hi guys."

"Hey Syd. How'd the fitting go yesterday?" Meredith asked.

"Alterations were minimal, so I'm good to with that part of the fundraiser. Speaking of which, I don't suppose Larry or Brad have called yet?"

"No calls yet," Natalie said.

Sydney closed her eyes and groaned. "Why would they? I only need to get this shit done like yesterday." She opened them back up. "Ok, Mr. Dashe's class will be in at 11 this morning to do their art project. So, at 10, Nat if you could set up the tables for me that would be great."

"No problem." She said with a smile.

"Ok, I'm going to be doing a double check on the RSVPs while I wait to see who I have to kill today." Meredith laughed as Sydney headed for her office. As she closed the door, her phone rang. She put her briefcase and purse down and answered it.

"Sydney James."

"Hi Syd, it's Brad."

"Please tell me you have good news."

He laughed. "The governor loves your plan and is behind it 100%."

She sat down and sighed. "That's fantastic news Brad. Thank you."

"Hey, it was your idea. I just repeated it. And, the governor will be making a private donation as well, so he was really all in with your plan."

"Really? This is great. Seriously Brad, I can't thank you enough. Great job." She turned on her computer. "I'm still waiting to hear from Larry, but I'll finalize the seating charts today and they should be in your inbox by tomorrow morning the latest. I'll just need a final ok before I talk to Tony at The Oakridge to confirm the number of people."

"Sounds good. If I have questions, I'll call."

"Ok, have a good one Brad."

"Bye Sydney."

She hung up the phone and smiled. She grabbed money out of her wallet and headed back to the front desk. As she reached the door, her phone rang again. She closed her eyes as she went back to her desk and grabbed the phone.

"Sydney James."

"Morning Sydney, it's Larry."

"Hi Larry. Got some good news for me?"

"Oh yeah. Not only is Hancock on board with your proposal, but he will be making a private donation."

"Seriously? Larry, you rock man."

He laughed into the phone. "This was all you. If you ever want a job in politics..."

It was her turn to laugh. "Larry, if I ever want a job in politics, I'll have myself committed. Brad called earlier and the governor is good with the plan too, so I'm going to have a finalized seating chart done today so it should be in your inbox first thing tomorrow morning. Just have Hancock look it over and give me an ok tomorrow. I have to talk to Tony tomorrow with a final number."

"Sounds like a plan. Talk to you later Syd."

"Thanks again Larry. Bye."

She jumped up and did a little happy dance in the middle of her office. She walked out and smiled at Natalie and Meredith. "Guess what? No one has to die today!"

Meredith laughed. "You did it Syd. Congratulations."

"You have no idea. Not only did they agree to the seating arrangements, but they are both making private donations." Sydney said as she did another happy little dance. Meredith and Natalie both joined in, all three laughing.
