ENCHANTING DESIRES

tears formed in mikey eyes seeing his girl took the bullet for him .

meanwhile kisaki was confused at the familiar lady . although mikey was injured . he felt a rush of anger as he gathered up all this remaining strength and charged towards kisaki , grabbing the gun out of his hands while he was distracted by y/n . before kisaki could even react mikey pulled the trigger . as another pull of blood formed . mikey killed kisaki . he had succeeded . mikey dropped the gun at an instant and rushed towards the lifeless female who had such bravery to take a bullet for him .

" y/n you idiot why did you " mikey cried . he could help but got angry at how stupid she was . y/n wasn't dead yet . she still had that last few moments . " you could have died . " she chuckled weakly as mikey held her in his arms . " why are you even here why are you such an idiot " his voice cracked , filled with sadness . he was suppose to be happy now that kisaki was dead but this wasn't the outcome he wanted and saw it coming . just as he was about to accept his fate , this happened . the person he loved wholeheartedly was now on the verge of dying again . it felt like history was repeating itself . " i was worried about you . " y/n muttered as blood started spilling out of her mouth as she coughed .

: flash back

y/n wasn't at ease . the thought of mikey never left her mind as the time ticked by . she only felt more and more anxious every minute . she knew she wouldn't forgive herself if she had lost mikey . her conscience just wouldn't . she pondered what she could do to help him . mikey have always devoured his life into saving and helping her . maybe it was finally time to do something for him in return . she couldn't be selfish and moreover , he deserved it . he deserved the help after everything he had done for her . he had made her the luckiest woman alive . there was no other way of repaying him other than to just help him .

at that point , nothing was stopping y/n . she knew it was the only right thing to do . it was time she did something for him back . with that in mind , she headed out . since she was a part of toman back then , she knew exactly where the gangs would gather and fight . she didn't want to waste anytime and be late to the scene . even if mikey were to scold her or get mad at her . she didn't care . her mindset was just to help him . ' i will not let you die , mikey ' she thought as she rushed over to the venue .

: end of flashback

mikey felt his world fall apart . " im calling ambulance right now . " mikey was about to make a call when y/n gently stopped him by tugging his shirt . " i-i am not going to make it... " her voice was raspy . she knew she didn't have much time left and she had to say her last few words to him now . it was now or never . mikey's heart clenched at her words . he knew she couldn't make it . at this stage if she could it would have been a miracle . " mikey... do you remember how we met ? " she asked with a small smile formed on her lips . " yes , you are so careless , getting drugged so easily just like that . " he said . his voice contained nothing but pain .

" t-thank you... for always saving me " she reached out her hand and mikey grabbed it immediately , placing it on his cheeks , feeling her warmth for the last time . " please don't leave me . " mikey went full on sobbing . " sorry... im sorry but i have one last wish " mikey nodded . agreeing on it even though he didn't know what she was about to wish for . " to be your wife... " mikey gasped and intertwined their fingers . " you are my wife , now and always . you will always be my wife . " there was nothing he wanted more than a future with her . " im glad... i am so glad i met you... " she had tears but it was more of happiness .

she was so grateful to have met him . someone who made her feel special . " no i am . i am so happy that i've found a gem like you . no one will ever make me feel the way you do "  this moment felt precious . she didn't have any regrets . dying in the arms of someone she loved . she truly had no regrets . being able to finally save mikey felt like her biggest accomplishment . y/n felt her time slowly drain off . her eyes were heavy . " i love you... forever and always , manjiro "  " i love you too . i love you so much " she felt contented as her eyes slowly began to shut with a smile still on her face . her muscles relaxed . " y/n ?  y/n " mikey shook her only to get no response . she was really gone now .

mikey shouted out in frustration . he had failed to protect her like he promised . he felt empty and lifeless . he gently placed y/n's body onto the ground as he walk towards the metal gun which he had killed kisaki with . he picked it up walking back to where y/n was he sat down , positioning the gun to his forehead . his index finger rested at the trigger . " lets be together , forever . " with those last words , mikey pulled the trigger , feeling the bullet impale through his head , laying down at an instant . he felt his vision go blurry as he turned his head towards y/n , placing his hand over hers .

" forever and always with you , y/n sano . "

it was them against the world . the world won . they were just an innocent couple discovering love and finding out how beautiful love can truly be . but everything must come to an end eventually . maybe this cruel world just weren't meant for their pure souls . just maybe fate would allow them to meet again in another life time . not as lovers but stranger . discover the beauty of love but this time , they could live their own happily ever after .
