ENCHANTING DESIRES

it has been a whole week since y/n had been in the hospital .

whenever mikey went out to get lunch or dinner , he would always get two just incase she woke up all of a sudden and felt hungry . but that never happened , he would always return to her unconscious self . he could barely last a week without hearing her voice . mikey sighed , pouring himself a glass of water . he hasn't left the hospital at all other than to shower to get food . he slept there and did everything else in that small room . he had even ditched the well-being of toman just for y/n .

mikey gently grab her hands , feeling the warmth surrounding him . he couldn't help but feel that he had let her down and disappointed her . he did think that she deserved better . through all of this , he failed to realise that y/n's finger slightly flinched . her eyes slowly jolt opened , squinting immediately due to the bright celling lights . " ughh " she groan in pain with the lowest volume . mikey immediately shot his head up upon hearing the small sounds made . his eyes gloss up in happiness . after a full week , he was finally able to hear her voice that he had missed so much .

" y-y/n... " his voice cracked slightly seeing her in such a weak state that she could barely talk . her throat felt extremely dry from not drinking any water . she reached out her fragile hands towards the table , pointing towards the glass of water mikey had poured for himself . he hurriedly passed her the water while she gulped it empty in one go . she had yet to say anything so far . but mikey was patient . he didn't rush her into talking to him or doing anything . he knew she needed time after what had happened . y/n had an expressionless stoic face on . almost like she didn't have a soul anymore . she looked like she had lost a piece of hers of just broken in general .

she tried to use her two hands to support herself so she could sit up . but her attempts failed as she had almost no strength in her arm at all . mikey noticed this and was quick to help her . " why... " it was the only thing that escaped her lips which were trembling non stop . mikey wasn't sure what she meant by it . " why am i not dead... " she had a monotone voice as tears slowly gathered in her eyes . his heart broke at how y/n wanted to die . how she no longer had the motivation to live . it hurt him . " don't say stupid stuff . " he laughed nervously though his heart ached every second . " tell me mikey ... " the way she said his name sounded so unfamiliar . as if they were stranger .

" what am i going to do if you're gone ? " mikey broke down as well while y/n stared at him with her soulless eyes . " you mean so much to me you don't understand... " she felt her eyes watered even more . " you are the only one i have left y/n . i love you so much it hurts . it hurts when you tell me you don't want to live anymore . it hurts when you don't love yourself anymore . it hurts me so much ... do
you know why i created toman ? it was because i wanted to feel strong , to protect the woman i'll ever love . "  he went full on sobbing . y/n felt guilt sink in seeing mikey broke down infront of her for the first time and her being the reason for it . his intention was never to make her guilty but he couldn't help it . the ache and pain in his heart never left as long as y/n was still in this state .

he wanted the old her back . the old her that he loved with his entire heart . y/n raised her trembling hands to pat mikey's soft black hair . his face dug deep into the bed as he cried his heart out . although y/n was in alot of physical pain . mikey was suffering mentally because of her . he was always the one to shield her . he was basically carrying her on his back throughout this whole journey . it wasn't just rough on y/n . it was rough on the both of them . " im sorry for letting you take all the burden ... i am such a terrible girlfriend aren't i ? " she scoffed letting out a sad smile earning a vigorous shake from mikey . " no you're not . you have your own problem to deal with . i understand . "

he gently embraced her waist , his head rested on her lap . " i just want you to stay with me forever ... or maybe... be my wife . " her eyes widened . she was more than happy to be his wife . it was all that she ever need . he was enough for her .  " can you promise me that ? " y/n hummed . without a doubt she would . it was silly of her even to do a suicide attempt . it was selfish for her to even think or try to leave mikey alone in this cruel world . " but one thing... " she muttered causing mikey to release his grip on her . " i won't return to toman... " y/n could imagine the disappointment in his face once she said that but instead he smiled . " its fine . " he didn't want to risk her experiencing this ever again . he respected her decision .

" mikey , have you not been sleeping well ? " she asked in a concerning tone as she realised the bags under his eyes . although it has only been a week but the change was still noticeable . he had been in the hospital for the longest time , sleeping on the uncomfortable couch and constantly waking up in the middle of the night due to his back or neck hurting . he wanted to make sure she was in his sight all the time . he never want to leave her alone again . " don't worry about me " she couldn't help but feel like a burden yet again . mikey is doing all of this just for her . she moved over to the side of her bed , patting the empty space beside her .

" you can sleep here for now... " she was rather shy although it wasn't her first time sharing she was still slightly embarrassed . mikey hesitated as he was afraid that he might accidentally hurt her since her wounds were not completely healed . she looked at him with curious eyes , seeing him not daring to move any closer . " you're still injured... i might hurt you on accident . " he rubbed the back of his neck . at this point she didn't care about her injuries . weather it hurt or not , she just wanted to feel safe again in his arms . y/n pulled mikey onto the bed , lying on his arms immediately , not letting him escape . it felt warm and welcoming . he couldn't help but feel slightly flustered .

the two spent the rest of the day doing nothing but enjoying each other's company .
