UH OH

YOONGI POV

"Stop making everything so hard you dumbfuck! Do you want me to run away too?!" I gasped as Hoseok hid behind me, tugging my shirt as I got out of the house with a flashlight.

"All those years of being a detective and now you're gonna run away? Ironic," Hoseok rolled his eyes and Yoongi clicked his tongue as he approached the back of his place, with Hoseok grabbing onto his shirt like a kid.

"What kind of person would not be scared after hearing such a loud crash near them in the middle of the night?" I glared and he inhaled deeply as I slowly approached the area.

"Y-Yoongi, I think we should go back-"

Then, both our eyes widened.

A dead child.

NAMHYE POV

"Why should I still sleep on this stupid mat? It's not like we haven't shared a bed before. You humans are such weird creatures," Jungkook blabbered and I rolled my eyes as I faced opposite him.

"Please shut up, you haven't stopped talking since 4 hours ago, I have school tomorrow, please let me sleep," I replied as I lifted my blanket closer to me, and Jungkook lifted a brow as he crossed his arms.

"And there you are, complaining about how I'm not talking and now you're saying you want me to stop now that I'm talking now?" Jungkook replied and I groaned.

"Honestly, now I know why you were silent for 300 or 600 years or whatever those mermen said," I rolled my eyes.

"Those mermen are bad people, you don't know how many years of torment I went through with them," Jungkook replied.

"I don't see it. Not when they have the same brain as yours," I replied.

Ring! Ring!

I looked down at the phone beside me, and I reached out to grab it before answering it, putting it on my ear.

"Hello? Is this Kim Namhye?" A voice said, and I confirmed it.

"Good, because this is an important matter," they replied.

"As Kim Taehyung's related other, we would like you to accompany him to the court between him and Byun Baekhyun."

THIRD PERSON POV

It was the next day, and Namhye had to request an absent day at school for her to attend the court session between Taehyung and Baekhyun.

"Baekhyun, you need to understand that we do this for the sake of your own justice, you really got 5 stitches on your head for that!" Junmyeon said and Baekhyun sulked.

"I mean... I myself want to, but I'd probably stir up more on the news," he replied and Junmyeon sighed.

"Even the fans are worried. But don't worry, atleast it's private. The person who harmed you won't be so public," he said and Baekhyun nodded.

"Fine, I'll tell my side of the situation, honest," Baekhyun smiled and Junmyeon smiled back.

"After this, I'll get Jongdae to get some beer, and then we'll all relax," he said and Baekhyun stood up before walking to the court.

"See? You're going to human jail, and this is what stupid kelpies get for being so damn careless," Namjoon said and Namhye sighed as she followed behind Taehyung.

"Seriously Namjoon, now I get why you're a merman. You live in saltwater, and you're salty as heck," she said and Namjoon rolled his eyes.

"Whatever, I'm not helping that damn creature and I'm reporting back to the Ranked higher-ups. Definitely not sacrificing my life," he said and Seokjin narrowed his eyes.

"Kelpies are always violent. Not surprised, it would be better for him to be in this human world than in ours, only adds up our burdens," Seokjin huffed and Jungkook slumped his shoulders.

"Will.. will I really go to jail?" Jungkook pouted and Namhye sighed as she looked at him.

"I really hope you don't actually, let's just hope it's something else," Namhye sighed as they entered the courtroom.

"Your honor, the two sides have arrived, along with Kim Taehyung, and Byun Baekhyun who is the said victim," one official said and the judge nodded.

"Your honor, what was presented in this case was true," Baekhyun said and Taehyung and Jungkook looked at him.

"But also... I would like to request something special if it were for them to pay me and the entertainment back," he said.

YOONGI POV

"I'm sorry Mr. Min, after countless tests, we could not find anything suspicious about this child. It is very weird though," the doctor said and me and Hoseok looked at each other.

"This child can be in the natural death category, but it seems like he was attempted to be murdered," he explained and I nodded.

"I see, I'll dig deeper into that. It may be something related to that of the horse mark we saw last time," I said and Hoseok nodded.

"I think we do need to look into the details more further," Hoseok replied as he looked around.

"Somehow, your place could use as an area with lots of evidences, we might be able to find a mark or two there," he said, and he grabbed my hand again.

"Mr. Byun, Mr. Byun!" I called as I ran after him. It was now the end of the court trial, and it seems like Baekhyun did win the case, in a way.

"Hm? Oh? And by the way, where is Mr. Taehyung?" He asked, and Namhye stopped infront of him.

"He went out first, he went to pick something up," she replied and Baekhyun nodded.

"I see, then what is it that you need my assistance in?" Baekhyun said and I looked down on the floor.

"Thanks a lot, I'm grateful and sorry. I hope this will never happen again," Namhye said and Baekhyun smiled.

"It's okay. I experience these types of fans a lot, I just hope I won't get these kinds of... rash experiences," he smiled sheepishly and Namhye smiled back.

"Oh... and by the way, what do you mean by "do something in return?""
