Christine's pov
I'm sat alone in the flat, Audrey has gone out on some sort of history museum tour. I filter round the cupboards to find something to eat when I spot a bottle of red wine in the back, without thinking I grab the bottle and pull a glass out of the cabinet. Before pouring I toss my phone between my hands, I wonder whether I should call Audrey or George or Nikki but then I think no, I don't need them thinking I've gone off it again, I don't need to go to another AA meeting. I pour the wine into the glass and drink it down quickly and pour a second glass. Within no time at all the contents of the bottle had disappeared.

Totally drunk I pick up the phone and call Nikki.

Nikki's pov
I was sat on one of the sofas at the school house reading through old magazines when my phone starts buzzing I pick I up and the caller ID says mum, great, just what I wanted, not. I decide to answer it anyway.
"What do you want?" I say answering it
"What did I deserve to get a daughter like you?" She says with a slight slur in her voice.
"Don't worry the feelings mutual." I sigh
"No, it's not see because I have my downs but I am a good person but you you're something else you're plain evil." She says
"Mum, are you drunk?" I ask, knowing her track record it wouldn't surprise me.
"I am not drunk." She refuses hiccuping
"God you are!" I shout
"Ok maybe just a little bit." She replies
"I don't believe you!" I sigh "don't expect anyone to care." She tries to say something but I hang up instead.

I lie down on the sofa and hold my head in my hands, I hear footsteps.
"Go away," I say before looking, when I do look I see that it's Justin "oh it's you, what are you doing here?"
"Thanks for the lovely welcome," he smiles "I was doing some work with Darren."
"Don't you have like a house to get to," I sigh "a family and stuff."
"They can wait, my family hasn't been the same since my dad ran off with his slag." He mutters
"Your family can't be any worse then mine." I whisper
"You wanna bet?" He laughs
"Ok," I say sitting up slightly "my mum left me with my dad when I was five took my older brother, Connor with her, I never saw her again until a few weeks ago. Then my dad remarried and had my half-sister Sophia, they got divorced, daddy remarried, got divorced, he got married again then divorced again and then his new soon to be wife moved in with her princess, more like devil child, Cassidy. Then I did something, bad and he sent me here."
"You win, my family is messed up and I created a lot of that mess." He sighs
"What exactly did you do?" I ask
"Got into a fight with my soon to be step brother on mine and his first day, hit my soon to be step mum with my door, which was an accident. Got sent to the cooler and Mr Fitzgerald's office more times then I can count. Started a relationship with my fifteen year old soon to be step sister, which despite what everyone else said I love her and it all kicked off when everyone found out so I tried to make her run away so Allie took her away, I kicked off punched Allie in the face and my dad took me to the police, then Tiffany said she hated me and then I tried to blow up the school, well not the school just Allie really." He says
"Whoa," I say "I've done some pretty bad stuff but I have never tried to blow any schools up. People on the other hand maybe."
"Well you are not Justin Fitzgerald. I used to be just a disaster on legs." He laughs
"I'd believe that if I saw it, you're always looking out for people or telling me where to stick my bitchy attitude," I laugh "never had you down as the bad boy type."
"I wouldn't say bad boy, just a complex personality," he smiles "but bad boy sounds cooler."
I smile but then my phone goes off again.
"Mum I told you mum, I don't care." I say and hang up
"What's that about?" Justin asks
"Just my mum, she started drinking again." I sigh
"Really?" He says
"Yup, called me up earlier, obviously drunk, asked me what she did to deserve a daughter like me and that I am just plain evil." I say
"You're not plain evil you're just like a tiny bit evil." He laughs
"Check you with your encouraging sentences," I smile "but am I evil and people ain't seen nothing yet."
he just smiles, despite seeming like the stuck up heads boy, goody two shoes I have found there's more to him than meets the eye. Suddenly he leans in and plants a kiss on my lips, I kiss him back pulling him closer.
