Ugh. Birthdays.
Birthdays are great when they're your own but when it's someone you hate.
It's something else.
And you can't avoid it if the party is being held where you live.
Happy birthday Lisa. Not.I stroll out of the school and head toward the school house and go to get changed. Maggie said all of us at the school house had to make an effort. No one was really enthusiastic about it though, Lisa's a moron.
"Are you going to wish me happy birthday?" She said as soon as I walked through the door.
"No." I laughed
"Well, let me warn you, you need to watch you back. People are against you and if you mess with us then your dead meat." She said, as per usual another empty threat to add to her gallery of other lame threats.
"No, Lisa let me warn you, you are a childish bitch who doesn't know who she's dealing with." I said
"You're underestimating me, again." She smirked
"Really?" I rolled my eyes "I just hope that someone gets you brains for you birthday. Maybe then you'll be able mildly intimidating."I walked past her and stumbled upstairs and opened my door and sat on my bed and listened to my music.
Blocking out Lisa is the easiest thing in the world.**3 hours later**
The party has started and I'm surrounded by several year 11s, fun.
I'm sat outside with Bonnie, Justin, Darren and Rhiannon.
"Why does Maggie throw big parties for all the school house kids anyway?" I asked
"Lisa and Lenny haven't had many birthday parties. It's probably to make up for lost time." Rhiannon said
"Maggie has had more time on her hands since Mr Budgen died." Darren said
"What's she doing here?" Bonnie said and I turned around to see who she was looking at, I saw non other then Kenzie, so predictable.
"Stalking. Probably." I muttered
"shh she's coming over." Rhiannon said
"Hey friends!" Kenzie smiled, there is only one thing worse than bitch Kenzie and that's cutesy and overly friendly Kenzie.
"Friends?" I whispered
"Hi Kenzie." Justin muttered
"Great party, isn't it?" She beamed
"It was until you showed up." Bonnie muttered
"I know you two hate me," she said looking at Bonnie and I "but me and the other three are dead close, some more than others."
"I'm not going to ask what that meant." I said
"You don't. I think you already know," Kenzie smiled "well, I'm going to go, there are people here who will actually appreciate my intelligence."
"Hard to believe that anyone will take your 'intelligence' when your 18 and pregnant and only learnt to read like yesterday." I laughed
"Who told you that?" Her gaze shifting over to Bonnie.
"Tiffany mentioned it before she left." I said
"Anyway, adios amigos!" She said leaving to walk back into the house
"No somos amigos." I whispered.I headed upstairs to go and put my phone on charge and when I opened my door, there was a surprise on my bed.
Not the good kind.
There was Lisa sat on my bed waiting for me.
"Mulgrew." She said
"Brown," I replied, raising my eyebrows and after a pause I continued "look either tell me why you're in here or get out."
"You never truly know who you can trust, do you? I mean one minute someone's your BFF and the next they're against you and they've turned everyone you love and everyone who loves you against you." She said
"I repeat, tell me why you're in here or get out." I said
"I mean I thought that mine and Kenzie's friendship was going somewhere, then she told me to go away. Bonnie thinks you'd do anything for her, but in reality you'd only save yourself, leaving everyone else to pick up the pieces." She said, her face still completely expressionless.
"Well, I'm sorry that your friendship wasn't all gumdrops and rainbows but I swear if-" I began
"Don't worry I'm done, but just look out." Lisa smirked walking past me and back downstairs.
I wish I knew what she was on about.I headed back downstairs and find Bonnie and Justin.
