Misaka Mikoto stopped in front of a cosplay cafe, the serving girls were rushing around inside in revealing black and red outfits. She felt a twinge in her heart that she did not understand.
"I am not Kuroko." She mumbled to herself as she tried to ignore the feeling.
She continued walking down the streets of Academy City, feeling uneasy. She couldn't explain what made the twinge in her heart, but it felt like longing, an emptiness that had been made unknowingly.
There was a loud woop from the shop across the street from where Mikoto was walking. She decided that whatever it was, it would draw her attention away from the unsettling feeling she had.
Her hopes were dashed when she looked at the newly released video game from an anime called Kill la Kill. The main character had been like a tsunami through Japan, causing fans to pop up all over the small country, with her badass attitude and red streak through her hair, it was no wonder why such a thing would happen.
"Misaka!" Ruiko Saten said, pushing through the crowd. "Misaka?"
Mikoto put her head down, trying to hide the tears that had started to fall down her face. What the hell is wrong with me!? Why is it that I feel like this!? Mikoto shouted in her mind.
"Are you ok!? Did something happen!?" Saten asked, trying to find out what was the matter.
Mikoto shook her head, noticing that the crowd was shifting it's attention the the level 5 that was having a melt down.
"Where is Kuroko? I'll call her, come sit down over here." Saten said as she pulled out her phone. "Misaka! Misaka!"
Mikoto had started to sprint down the street, trying not to run into anyone while she also tried to hide her tear streaked face.
I am NOT into girls! Mikoto shouted at herself. I am NOT into Kill la Kill! It's just a perverted show about girls who are sisters that fight their mother in the end!
Mikoto stopped and realized that the show had only released fourteen episodes, and no one had made a sound on the internet about them being sisters. (Note: Quell erased both sides memories and also made it so that anything that had to do with either world had been postponed or rewound to stop them from remembering each other.)
Mikoto fell to the ground as memories filled her vision, they were like flashes on a movie screen. They had a girl with a red streak in her hair and passionate eyes. They had talking cloth and portals. They had Ryuko Matoi and Kyriun Satsuki fighting.
Mikoto gave a gasp as they stopped, she felt a tingling in her arm, causing her to slump over. The tingling turned into a burning pain that went through her whole body, which had started to glow. It continued until Mikoto felt like a burning house that would soon collapse on itself, when suddenly it stopped and left her in a blackness.
